losing interest in ufc

Hi, is it just me, or have UFC cards been so bad lately that I've started losing interest in MMA? I mean, there are still some fights and fighters that I look forward to, but for example, I've kind of lost all interest in the smaller weight divisions, except for 145. Welterweight sucks too. It feels like the UFC is becoming boring as hell and the next ppv is pretty pathetic 3 wmma fight and then all manlets. My god I want to go back in time
I agree not just you. They have done to UFC what Disney did to Star Wars and oversaturated the market with too many weak events. Much less big card anticipation than used to be.

You have to be a UFC shill to defend most cards nowadays. Im convinced most of the shills that have been around as long as you and me must work for the UFC, or benefit from promoting UFC cards in some way.

Ah, time for the monthly "I hate UFC now, I want the golden days back." I think we need a forum for the disaffected posters like OP.

You're old, your interest has waned. It happens, but currently there hasn't been a more exciting time to follow the sport.

in reality UFC's gonna sign a massive new rights deal next year and is making more money than ever, selling out everywhere they go and doing record gates.

But yes UFC is dying and will be dead very soon as sherdog has said since 2011.
Yep. shocking but true.

I don't entirely agree that this is the best time for the sport, but you are right that there is a lot of drama queen stuff about the UFC that is wildly exaggerated.

how old are you mate?

we change over time, so it happens.

when i was a teen/early 20s i loved wwe, i figured i would watch it my whole life, then i just got tired and outgrew it as i found other hobbies.

I lost interest in mma around 2013 after ando. I was doing other things and putting my energy to those things.

I got back into mma around 2018. I started training muay thai and bjj. this brought my itnerest back as part of bonding with the ygm was watching these events. I had a new appreciation for the sport as I understood the technical aspects of it. This broughtmy interest back.

I stopped training in 2022 due to needing to spend time elsewhere. Still follow mma, but I am with you it is getting old. The events and stars are lackluster too me. Might be a sign for me to find new hobbies and pursuits.

It's just life. Lot's of things out there, and shit isn't meant to be forever. Enjoy

I'm a Sherdog shill. Hence the green name.

I'm also such a UFC shill, I give more money to to this site per year than I do to the UFC. Believe whatever helps you sleep at night Sherbro.

Thats clearly because you probably live in some country that you don't have to pay $80 per PPV. But thanks for being honest and proving my point.

Born and raised in the great USA. As I said though, weave whatever fantasies you wish.

why are yall so sensitive when someone states the obvious? people who complain about legitimate UFC problems are the worst here. They are the most sensitive, they can't even handle seeing discussion about why it's so bad. hilarious.

I think specific criticism is fine but the "I'm gonna quit watching" as if anyone is supposed to give a shit is pointless.

This year has been terrible. Its the first year i have skipped entire cards.
By "skipped", do you mean "skipped like a stone?" Because a stone can skip....all you need is some water. Maybe a stream.
