losing interest in ufc

If you're losing interest just stop watching. I don't know what the point of people making so many "the ufc is dying" and "Is the UFC dying?" threads. No one is forcing you to watch UFC, if you don't like it anymore just take a break or move on. It's okay to fall out of love with things, it's normal.

Every month there is a poster who makes this thread and actually thinks we give a fuck if he's interested in MMA.

UFC is too watered down now. I’ve been skipping multiple cards a year too. A couple years ago I never missed a single fight.

Hi, is it just me, or have UFC cards been so bad lately that I've started losing interest in MMA? I mean, there are still some fights and fighters that I look forward to, but for example, I've kind of lost all interest in the smaller weight divisions, except for 145. Welterweight sucks too. It feels like the UFC is becoming boring as hell and the next ppv is pretty pathetic 3 wmma fight and then all manlets. My god I want to go back in time
Like so many other things it can’t keep peoples attention constantly, i’ve been disinterested recently only due to the lack of good events like the noche one outside of the main fight and Ortega vs Lopes.

UFC officially peaked when Jon Jones snatched the HW belt. It is all downhill from here ...

I dkn't care about half the org being below LW. It was better when LW was the smallest weight. I don't care about these flyes. Short guys would have to bulk for 155 n the past. UFC was better before half the fightes were mini guys and so much wmma. Early wmma was good. Now it's stale and dead.

Hi there, you´re just growing up. UFC is a pretty shitty product and has been for a while.

That´s all.

Fair weather fans come and go. As for me I require my weekly UFC dose. The rest of the week I smile on those fights.

this 100%. i watch bellator, i watch ONE, i have purchased every Rizin, this is the FIRST year i have ever skipped whole UFC events. LOL.

Your criticisms are valid. Everyone knows it's a far weaker product today. They have commercialized it for the worst. They have put out crap cards and have deluded new people into thinking this is valid competition.

And for the people who constantly bitch when someone voices their opinion on a message board designed for MMA discussion? STFU you sensitive pansies who can't even read criticism about the UFC on a MMA forum. For fuck's sake. That's the entire point. If YOU don't like it, reply somewhere else. This is all valid, these are legitimate complaints. And we can discuss. That's the whole fucking point.

Wrote this a couple of months ago, and it keeps getting worse imo...

As some fans in this thread have informed you, every single year there is a whole bunch of topics exactly like yours.

Here's 2022

Here's 2020

Here's 2017

Here's 2015

Here's 2014

Heck, the post above mine is just from a few months ago. It's never ending.

agreed, the super light weights are just not compelling enough.

This is actually part of the circle of MMA fandom...you start out only knowing who a few of the stars are, then you get super into it and watch all of the events and know obscure facts about obscure fighters and you start digging into fight finder and watching smaller promotions trying to see who could make it to the big show and then you get excited about some prospect and they fail, you learn how to pronounce last names like nurmashamalamadingdong and then you see the rise and fall of several champions and you see your favorite fighters on their downslide and then you don't know who the new fighters are because you didn't watch Dana White's "So you want to be a fuckin' fighter, huh?" tv show and you can't bring yourself to see another episode of TUF, and then you come on Sherdog to complain that MMA has gotten bad. is normal.

This is what happens when you're guaranteed money no matter the quality of the product.
The UFC hasn't been the same since the ESPN deal.
