The other possibility is that Floyd has no intention of fighting Ghost, but is in fact merely trying build him up and get his name out there so another more established prospect can fight him. If Canelo fought Ghost now he'd be fighting the guy who "Mayweather was considering" thus his name will resonate more with casuals when Canelo squashes him. Surely if he was about to fight MAYWEATHER then his MUST be good!

I liked Guerrero when he was in the lower weight classes fighting guys like Katsidis. But now at welterweight he looks sloppy and fights really ugly. The transition to WW has not been a good for him. Once he gets destroyed he's going to be forced to move back down again.

Which is why I don't think he'll be a match at all for a guy as skilled as Floyd. Even with having to resort to dirty tactics, he still got lumped up pretty good against Aydin and Berto. It shows he's going to drag along at welterweight. Guerrero should've did junior welterweight instead or just not jumped up at all.

Yes he is, their first fight, Marquez jumped from 135 to 147, two weight classes. He was slow and not use to his new body.
The Marquez now, who is in ridiculously good shape and could give Money much more problems the 2nd go around.
