Just recently watched this primarily cause it is a thriller with the whole FBI/serial killer thing going.
Silence Of The Lambs it was not.
Lets get down to the pros.
Looked nice.
Some acting was good/decent.
Started off good.
Cons.
Everything else.
This film reminded me of virtually every new film that comes out. All gloss and style. Cheap thrills. Cosmetics. Zero substance. Shit character development. Weak pacing/script.
After the first act or 2, its literally all downhill.
Critics/General Public all need something, anything to feed off of. They pick stuff like this which may have some decent things going for it along with a revived name in a role. Not much out there so something needs the "critical acclaim" treatment.
This was a snoozefest after the first 25 mins or so.
I would never watch it again and im shocked I got through it all tbh. The ending was mind numbingly dumb. Like thats the best these hobos can come up with now? Its like they sit around and watch a great thriller from back in the day, come up with an interesting idea, but have no clue how to actually develop the story.
Stupid turd reminds me of Barbarian. Seemed interesting for the first act then went down shits creek without a paddle.
