so what? this isn't my information source.
Well so long as it isn't twitter either.

twitter a lot of times has a lot better reporting than mainstream media. that's not even controversial. you think anyone's going to the bbc when wanting to find out what's going on? why would they? to get a curated, manicured and censored version of what's happening? mainstream media is trash.Well so long as it isn't twitter either.

nope. hell, 4chan has better news than the bbc.If you think you're getting better news from twitter than the BBC you're having a laugh Sherbro.

because you simply can't get away with shit on twitter because of community notes. mainstream media has nothing like that.
people that listen and unquestionably believe mainstream media are basically involved in a religious act.
you understand though this wasn't a discussion SPECIFICALLY about the BBC, right? its about mainstream media. i could have said cnn. come on, man.BBC is different from American mainstream media. They actively go after everyone. There's very few times I've seen them be actively called out for inaccurate reporting. You will get quicker news on twitter and 4chan because BBC has higher expectations of verifying information though.
The most viral videos on Twitter these days seem to be third world cavemen acting like third world cavemen across Europe. What you mainly get on twitter is bits of video taken very out of context and presented to mean something different.

I don’t see how someone pulling their trousers down and taking a dump in the middle of Paris can be taken out of context, nor one of some lunatic running about with machetes.
Pre-Musk these videos would’ve lasted about 30 minutes before being killed by the algorithm, and anyone citing them would’ve been called a liar and told if it were true the video would be everywhere.
It’s also caused a seismic change in people trusting governments. The curated window that was twitter was basically an instrument for mass censorship. i don't like musk at all, never have, doesn't fool me and i know pretty well what he is, but his taking over twitter allowed for a lot of people to see things they simply would otherwise not be allowed to. you can't put that genie back in the bottle now, and return twitter to a "trannies aren't really in schools grooming kids, you're just a transphobe" or "immigrants are great and aren't breaking the law, you're just racist" type of gaslighting.
that shit is OVER.

If you're saying the BBC isn't partisan, that's like saying a prayer, same vibe.Well American news is very different because it's partisan
If you're saying the BBC isn't partisan, that's like saying a prayer, same vibe.
Point me some posters around here that believe that.Well the BBC isn't partisan
Point me some posters around here that believe that.
I don't have to give evidence for anything. you think this is a scientific discussion?Give me some evidence that they are partisan. Every prime minister we've ever had has been given a torrent of criticism by the BBC, no matter which party they represent.
I don't have to give evidence for anything. you think this is a scientific discussion?
Still waiting for you to point out some posters around here that would agree the bbc ain't partisan.
London is the capital of Asia.London sucks

why not? mainstream media is a trust institution."but Sherbros say..." isn't an argument really though is it?
