Btw I have to say how pleased I was to see Mr. Soul Glo and Darwin from Hudson Hawk in it.

I never thought I would have seen Darryl (Erie La Salle) again on the big screen or tv. It took me a while to figure out where I remembered him from but when I did I was happy for him.

I recognized Richard E Grant right off the bat, so I instantly was happy

The things that I loved about
this film: the acting, dialogue and tone make me almost feel bad about disliking a couple aspects of this movie.

It was fucking great.

And if Stewart doesn't get an Oscar nod, I'm going to be pissed. He was PERFECT in this film.

9/10.

What are your guys take on this?

When Logan is dying and he says, "so this is what it feels like."

Was he referring to dying or love? I thought he was talking about the feeling of loving/caring for Laura but some people think he's talking abut death.
He was referring to all the people he's killed

I like Dragon's interpretation, or Jackman's, but I believe they are wrong. Logan has loved enough to give his life if need be. Many times in fact. Unfortunately for him, it hasn't worked out that way.

The only other message id be willing to accept is -'oh, this is what it feels like to put my life on the line and have it pan out'.

This is the correct answer.

All of them/us are wrong. Post #314 above is the right answer.

What a nice movie. Exceeded my expectations. Better than the last one I saw, which I liked a lot, which was John Wick 2. I don't want to say it's the best comic book adaptation, but I can't think of one off the top of my head that told a better story.

You're abandoning the 'Berry DL? Say it ain't so.
wut?
don't leave us
who will fill in our void?
Again, I'm not leaving anymore. I was but something came up and if it pans out, I'll probably be sticking around for a long time.

For selfish reasons I don't want you to leave but if you got something going on that keeps you busier and you can support your family power to you , and your contributions would be missed.
Thanks, man.

"So this is what it feels like" was a reference to...

Patrick Stewart's scene when he tells Logan that "This is life" and "Take a moment and see how it feels."

When he's impaled on the log dying, Laura holds his hand. The camera makes a point of focusing on their hands touching immediately before Logan says "So this is what it feels like."

At risk of sounding wishy washy, what I like about deceptively simple dialogue is the multitude of meaning wherein all interpretations bear valid weight. The relief is evident, and addresses a number of pent up tensions. Some dialogue I missed though. Like right before he says it, he asks her something. "Tell me" something. Like why or what something. And she's all 10/10 mucus.

hmmn you may be right about the pills, but i thought one of them interfered with his brain and that in supressing the brain activity that caused seizures it also suppressed his powers. this is based on his first conversation with Caliban and the scene where Charles tells Logan information about Laura, Logan asks if they talked and Charles says they communicated . it seemed to me the only way Logan would ask the world's greatest telepath that is if hecould no longer read minds. also the scene with the horses seemed to say that Charles was proving to Logan that he could be trusted with his powers again.

so was your interpretation that Charles mostly lost his powers to dementia, but could still hurt people with seizures? i could see that.
I don't think Charles lost his powers so much as I think the seizures cause him to lose control of his abilities.

I am at the theater and it's about to start. Fuck yeah.

Everyone in the film was tremendous

Honestly if the script was longer and written heavier for Prof X, the strongest telepath ever fighting his degenerative illness, I think he could've gotten an award nomination for this film.

He was beyond good in this. He basically stole every scene he was in
