Listen, Lewis Should Actually Retire

If he got outclassed I might agree but that's not the kind of fight you need to retire on. It was very even.

Brunson on the other hand got KOed so bad it would probably be a good idea for him

Beast can bank another million of Dana’s money if he plays his cards right. He’s still top 10, just aging and out of prime.

He should do the opposite of retire, and continue fighting.

I can see him having fun facing guys in the top 15-5 range, mostly hand picking his opponents for fun/competitive fights (avoiding wrestlers, people half his age). He should continue to be in the main event slot for fight nights, or co main on PPVs.

He did lose to an actual complete bum that won’t ever be shit

But I think Lewis still has some KOs left

Why is there need for yellow cards when it's obvious someone like so is just here to shit post?

Thank you no - HW needs guys like Lewis.

Should he retire? Of course he should, the story doesn't get better from here. Retiring in your hometown after a hard fought battle around the people you love.

Does he actually have the 1.5mil-3mil invested to support his lifestyle without ever having to work again?? Almost certainly not

Has he saved or invested any large portion of his earnings the last 5 years?? I hope so, because it's sad when you devote your life to being a fighter, destroying your brain and body in the process, and after all those years you don't have enough to retire and have to pick up an entry level job.

I wouldn't mind at all if he called it quits, he has given us so many great fights and moments. I really hope he can have a good retirement one day and provide for his wife and children with the best life possible.

I don't see Lewis as being bad with his money in general or as the stereotypical black person that can't handle funds. He bought some cars for his relatives and they ended up selling them. Sounds like his family were financial bums and he learned a lesson about being too generous. He didn't give them houses or large sums like $100K+.

I don't see him staying in 5-star hotels with the cheap rooms being several hundred a night. Seems like a regular dude with a modest appetite for luxury. He should be fine.

I'm on forums where they have a few funny word filters for annoying buzzwords, could we change "listen" for "I'm not gay, but" or something like it ?

I know he has a house in Houston, hopefully he’s already paid it off.

He doesn’t seem very irresponsible to me either, atleast when he’s not beating the F*%# out of dudes at the gym lol.

Right? He probably has another half dozen fights as long he doesn't retardize himself with a Nunes/Rousey beating. Several million more in the bank and he's popular so he could always be a figurehead for an organization. Maybe a show like Hot Ones but call it Hot Balls and it's him with a guest eating a half-dozen ribs in different sauces.

I have a different somewhat sick plan for Lewis …..Lewis vs Arlovski…or Lewis vs Gus / Rothwell winner book it…..it’s situations like this that makes me think Overeem should’ve stayed ….Lewis vs Overeem would be ideal

Why should he ? He literally gets paid 500k just to show up. Not to mention, his only motivation is money so he'll be a great gatekeeper for a while.

I'm a tad bit disappointed Tai didn't follow up with a couple more shots after Lewis got knocked out cold.
Lewis has done that all throughout his career, i.e. dropping unnecessary hammer fists on the opponents face after he's been clearly put to sleep.

Tai is much more classy and likeable though.

But! I was told Lewis was one of the greatest heavyweights of all time! He's got the record for most knockouts! He was undefeated in February! He's more than just a guy with KO power and nothing else. hOw CoUlD hE hAvE lOsT?!?!??
Can you show me two serious posts saying he’s one of the best HWs of all time

Listen, for all you know, Lewis wanted out of the TOP 5. He likes 3 rounders and is comfy with the 200k he's getting. He literally said himself he doesn't care about belts and being the champ.

Why are there so many effeminate sensitive weirdos like you on this site who get mad at any post they don’t agree with and are quick to call it shit posting or trolling

Go outside

I probably won't put in the effort honestly, but I've seen people really hype him up. I don't know if I can be convinced that he's anything more than a right hand.

Thanks for proving my point.

37 years old, out of the top 5 for sure after this. Unless he wants to stick around and gate keep, I don’t see him sniffing the belt again. Imagine him going to BKFC.

What's wrong with sticking around for gatekeeping and not being champion? I don't expect to be the boss of the company I work for anyday soon and I stay around to work and earn a living. And plenty of hockey players continue playing even if only to stay on the 4th line. And same with every sport.
