WWs are 170lbs/77kg at the weigh ins, but their 'real' weight is around 200lbs/90kg for most of them.

It's their frame size more than their weight. Guys like Woodley don't have the frame to compete at a top level at HW.

Some LW's have the power, but would lose grappling, meaning they'd have a puncher's chance. To have enough size and strength in the clinch is the decider, imo, since then they could beat a top HW several times. Hendo was badly outmatched in grappling exchanges in both Nog fights, but also had one good move against Fedor and did well in the clinch before that. Hendo hasn't shown the best TDD, but if he chooses he's hard to move. He's also had other wins at HW. So I'd say MW.

Khabib could probably beat some journeyman HWs with bad grappling and gas tank.

You have to be more specific with legit HW. I believe a lot of WW or Big LW would beat Brendan Schaub but would get fucked up by Francis. In MMA size isn't everything, skills, technique and styles makes fight. But when everything is equal or the gap in skills isn't far off,the bigger man will always win.
