Tbf I don't think Trump is a fan of Hitler as much as some areas of the media try and convince us otherwise. If he was then he would have cut off support to Israel last time.

Joking aside, I agree. If Trump was Hitler incarnate, he'd cut off all support to Israel and launch nukes at Moscow. But I do think the accusations of Fascism against Trump, while overblown, have some kernel of truth.

Trump's driving force is his ego. He'll play by the rules of democracy right up until it gets in his way. Then he'll do whatever it takes to get what he wants. No matter what the cost.

Ironically, while the OG 616 Red Skull is a fanatical and unrepentant Nazi, the MCU version of Herr Schmidt was simply using them as a means to acquire power. Once the Nazis no longer served their purpose, Schmidt would not hesitate to kill Hitler(and wipe Berlin off the map).

I agree he's a narcissist but I'm not sure he's quite devious enough to be a Marvel villain. Most of the shit he's done has been obvious.

The wars on Facebook are astounding. I have a black college friend that just posted this long thing about how he now will have to live in fear because of the color of his skin. How people that voted for Trump don't look like him. How it was a vote for hate. I didn't touch it, he is entitled. But then our other black friends attacked the shit out of him and told him to show 1 bit of proof Trump is anti-black. Show 1 bit of proof how Biden helped black people. They destroyed him. I have a Democrat cousin whose son is black and she posted on FB “now people will feel emboldened to call ______ the N word, i need to prepare him for this”.

Even in my own family these types of idiots exist and she was fucking valedictorian of her school when we were growing up.

Seems intelligent people are just as susceptible to reality warping propaganda as anyone else is.

Luckily with the job I have, I interact with hundreds of different people every month so I have a better feel for the “pulse of the country”. Too many people work from home or desk jobs and never set foot into the real world.

One particular Reddit poster isn't proof but anything, but the general idea is probably true to some extent. Not necessarily hate, but contempt. They subconsciously think minorities are incapable of doing basic things on their own, and therefore they feel the need to coddle them and give them allowances that they would never give to people they perceived as competent. The psychology of it all is pretty interesting when you drill down into it.
