Liberal Hollywood kills another great Character....

I've tried really hard over the last two days to watch the new Amazon Prime series "Jack Ryan", and I just can't take it anymore. The over the top, Leftist anti American/Western rhetoric that permeates this show is just too much. The French apparently have been added to the list of "Groups who somehow deserve to have innocent citizens fall victim to terrorist attack", along with the Western World in general. The truely amazing part of this show is that it got this truely stupid review for being too pro American:

Yeah, I don't get what the TS is complaining about. It's not like the producers decided to make Ryan a transgender Muslim or anything.

I am wondering how it feels like to watch a show an immediately try to get triggered for it being too liberal or too conservative.
It must be a strange state of mind to go through life looking for "enemies" everywhere.

I think the show is good. Not great or anything but alright.
One thing that puts me off that the dude will always be Jim from the office.

I dig it so far. Admittedly, they do try to humanize the terrorists but I’m too much of a prick to care about that. During one scene with the two main antagonists, I walked to the kitchen and just muttered “doesn’t matter, they’ll be dead by season 3.”

Was Jack Ryan always a former Marine? I’d buy him as a happenstance action star, a normal guy thrown into a tough situation. But he (Kraz... Krazinn... you know, Jim) doesn’t quite carry himself the right way. But it’s a pretty minor complaint.

I’m not expecting any Emmy award winning episodes. Hopefully just some entertaining war porn.

You guys should check out 13 Hours. That + A Quiet Place, and he's showing his capability as an action guy.

He still looks like Jim with those big ass ears, though. I keep waiting for Dwight to come out of no where.

Why are you surprised at the French being given that dubious honor? They were colonizers and even tested their nuclear bombs in Algeria during the war of independence between the two. Since then tens of thousands of Algerians have been affected in various ways, from cancer to blindness. Not saying innocent French people deserve to die but its not like France has a recent history that is squeaky clean like, they were pieces of shit for quite a bit there so it makes sense to include them among the white guilt nations.

He certainly is in The Hunt for Red October from when Alec Baldwin still looked young. The casting seems pretty much on point so far. Granted, I'm only 3 episodes in, but nothing Ryan has done as yet qualifies him as an "action hero." And it shouldn't as that's never really been the character (at least not in film).
