Lets talk footwear - Sneaker/Boots/Etc

Nothing fancy, just suede, superstar, samba in B&W or W&B.

I also have the Onitsuka Tiger Mexico that I never wear and for some reason are now twice as expensive as your regular Adidas when they where cheaper than a superstar some years ago when I bought them.

I’m actually looking for a pair of sneakers I can wear at work (I work in a hospital, but not constantly on my feet), but also at the same time would be a good pair to practice with or juggling a soccer ball? First thing comes to mind is Adidas Samba, but I’m not sure how comfortable it would be wearing 10 hours per day on average, especially with what I assume a tight toe box. Anyone that owns a pair can chime in? Any other good alternatives?

Asics gel shoes are supposed to be really good for support and comfort. There are a number of different styles, but check out some Asics. Might cost you around $80-$110, depending on the model.

Earlier when this thread was posted, I was wearing minimalist shoes. But fast-forward to current day, and I am wearing a few different pairs of Asics, one is black Gelsaga Tigers, and the other is made from all recyclable material. Love both and they are very comfortable.

Also, got back in to skating so also wearing some New Balance 417s and some cheap Airwalks from Walmart.

I don't mind a pair of Asics, but really trying to find one that is dual usage so my guess I have to stick with a pair that is often used for futsal or hard surface soccer or something close to it. Too bad Samba's got so popular and the prices are so jacked up now a days. Nike has the Streetgato or the Premiers that look good and both have indoor/court versions with grippy soles. I just don't know how realistic it would be to wear them all day.

Which Samba's have you tried/own? I know there is the Classic, OG, ADV, Decon, etc. I may go check out the Adidas Outlet and see if they have any just to try on. I'm just not sure how tight the toebox is for all day use. I will often practice juggling/dribbling a soccer ball on my break at work and sometimes when I'm at my son's practices after work so it would be nice to have a good all around pair to use.
