Lets talk fishing

I got both of them as well as the weighted wacky rig they have. My thoughts are that from playing around with them, the ozark rig is great. The hover rig destroys most of the bait you put it in. I watched videos on how to rig it and it is getting a non-flexible plastic on the end that rips up the baits. Anything with salt like Yamamotos get torn up. Z man I had no problem with but a salty stick bait doesn’t fair well
I wondered about that, I’ve used weighted worm hooks and they tore up certain baits too. I’ve pretty much given up on Yamamoto baits for that reason too. At best I get one fish per bait, many get ruined before I even catch one. It took a while to find a bait to match the movement of the Senko, but the Strike King Shim E stick is pretty darm close and has become my preferred stick bait. They last 3x as long and I can find packs on Amazon for $3 or so. Paying $8 for a pack of baits that don’t last an hour got old.

Bass Pro spring sale starts this week. Usually not a ton of great deals, but I saw they’ll have Rapala OG crankbaits and some Berkley baits 50% off.
Might be worth checking out.

I just spent 45 on a rapala scale on Sunday. Probably should just waited. On a separate note, got some bad ass looking plastics. The live target line that just came out look juicy and the pour on these works is awesome-so much nuance. Not a googan fan, but I bought three packs of saucy swimmers as trailers for spinnerbaits. The colors are good. And I do love the smell of them. Also got some robo neds green pumpkin and chartreuse/perch. I love the textures on roboworms.

Maybe try yum or bass pro shops stick-o baits are supposed to be close to Yamamoto. Here’s a strike king fat baby shad in my most productive color baby blue gill on the weighted wacky rig and a Rabid baits worm with a hair tail on the ozark rig.

Found some decent deals on the Bass Pro/Cabelas site, I hate the drive. Had a gift card so searched through all the sale items. Best deal was a new spinning reel, a 13 Fishing Aerios for $50. Never used any of their stuff, but my spinning reels are all 20+ years old so I needed a new one. Found several cranks and top water for 50% off, some swimbaits for $2/pack, and some other soft plastics and swim jigs I was running low on.IMG_4042.jpeg

I "caught" a nice 13 Rod & Reel that had been sitting in the water for a looonngggg time. I cleaned it up & used it nicely for awhile. The Rod broke eventually but the reel works great still!

I’ve never used anything but Shimano and one Penn as far as spinning reels go. But for 60% off I had to try it. Supposed to go from the 30s this week to 60s and 70s next week. Won’t be long before the lakes are open.

Go fishing in my local lake and get back my shimano vanford ($250) reel that fell in last year. I was heartbroken.

I own a vanford, nasci, ultegra and favorite is the stradic. The only sales I ever see on shimano are on JDM sites

I just posted how I lost my vanford in my lake last year. I went to grab another pole and it got tangled up and fell in. I was in tears.

I was always an abu Garcia guy until two years ago. I got into shimano and daiwa. I love my daiwa tatula rod and reel (everything has to match with me)

Just got my new tattoo done this week. It goes well with my other water based tats.

One of my fave channels for sure. That dude flat out gets it done

My fav for sure. Person I would most like to go fishing with even over pros. Watch Debo and aggressively average anglers as well as about twenty other channels. But Matt is my fav and I have been watching him since 2019 when he was about 10k subscribers up to almost half a million now

Cool dude

Yeah I don’t freshwater fish much but I used to be big on large and smallmouth

Moved out to Hawaii and I’ve pretty much completely switched over to inshore
I’ve been trying to nab an ulua (10lb and over trevally ) for over 2 years now and it’s been the biggest challenge of my fishing career). I’ve had plenty on buts it’s hard because they’re strong AF and use reefs well to cut you off. One day though
Bonefish are fun too but ulua is what I target. Trust me inshore makes bass fishing feel like playing with leggos

Cavy is my favorite YT

Cool videos. As long as I am using lures, I will fish for anything. I hate using bait. Maybe it’s the sitting and waiting that I don’t like. But I love to go after aggressive fish and that looks like a ton of fun.
