These were hybrid stripers, wipers. They usually do well in ponds, and there was a ton of baitfish at that time. I’m really not sure why they didn’t take. I caught one ice fishing their first winter in there, but never caught another. There are still baitfish in there, but I think these days bluegill and baby bass make up most of the food for the larger bass. Used to be tons of 3” perch, fatheads, and golden shiners, but as the bass grew larger after stocking, they cleaned them up.Do you have a lot of open area for the stripers? They really like being in open water.
Do you have any fatheads or crayfish for lower in the food chain?
