He looks like he started working out just a few months ago and only the UFC and him know why he was inactive for 3 years.
Was he suspended is the honest question because his body transformation is not that of 3 years old dedication. Why 3 years? Did he snitch to get 3 instead of 4? What do you think? Does his body look of that 3 years prep?

He’s not exactly young. It’s hard to build muscle past like 32 years of age, unless he’s got some pictograms still pulsing….

Also he might just not have the body type for gaining large amounts of muscle.

I think he looks bigger. I also think that he has been forced to clean up by USADA and it shows. I think he is taking a gamble that his skill and talent will allow him to overcome his loss of athleticism that he will suffer fighting clean. I am hoping he is wrong haha

What's the point/question? Maybe he was suspended, who knows? But that has nothing to do with him looking like only having started working out a few months ago.

He was inactive 3 years opposed to 2 or 1.5 because after Jones and the UFC came to an agreement the UFC HW division was hurt or unavailable. First Francis had to fight Gane because Gane had the interim belt. After that fight Francis was hurt and holding out and Gane was coming off the Francis loss. Stipe was fighting fires and wasn't available, Aspinall who might have been the answer if he had beaten Blaydes got hurt.

Blaydes was the best available HW for much of the past year or so and he really needs another win to get a title shot.

That's why it took 3 years. The Francis situation had to be resolved and Gane had to win another fight.

I'd LOVE for someone to answer this question I keep asking:

If the UFC and USASDA are so corrupt then why would they bother suspending Jones at all? You know what you do if you're corrupt? Throw the test away and act like it never happened. They wouldn't lie to everyone about a failed test and still punish the fighter. It's obvious they wouldn't care about the test in this scenario so why would they care to suspend the fighter?

He's living in your head rent free, TS. Lol
Seriously though, I'm not too hung up on his bodybuilding. Jones was deceptively strong and fast for his lanky frame. Not everyone looks as strong as they actually are. I'm more interested in where he's at with his reflexes, reaction time; his movement, his ability to make adjustments and improvise on the fly.

I agree with TS. There doesn't seem to be much of a physical transformation. It likely hasn't been 3 years of training/weight gaining efforts - more like the last year or so. The seemingly unimpressive results could mean that Jon is no longer 'pulsing' or cheating, but it is Jon, so ...

Was he being tested by usada often, or he wasn’t like Coner? If he was roiding out of his mind then yes, I would have expected much more from Jon. But doing it clean, it was a reasonable expectation. It is very difficult to naturally build muscle, specially if you are 32+ and have an ectomorph build. Jon’s body isn’t really suited to be that heavy, height is pretty deceiving. Legs carry a LOT of your total body weight and he has hilariously skinny legs, think about it … legs are almost half of your body. His arms are long and slim. His torso is by far his best body part but he’s just not a jacked individual.

He's training for an MMA fight though, he's not competing in a bodybuilding competition.

Right, but he was already a large guy (walked around 230ish and pretty muscular. Look at him now. His arms, legs, shoulders, back, etc. aren’t even bigger.

He just put a belly on.

he could’ve just eaten a ton of donuts/fast food for 2 weeks or so and gotten the same body transformation.
