Lesnar/Hunt round 3 was a 10-7 round

Fedor vs Maldonado
Edgar vs maynard 2 round 1

Those are 10-7s. That was 10-9

If that was 10-7, fedor vs Maldonado was 10-3.

clearly not

edgar v maynard 2 round 1 was a 10-7. are you suggesting any part of that fight was as one sided as that? no way

it should have.

Why. Because you wanted it to be a 10-7?

Fedor mounted effective offense for the 1st minute and a half. He busted up Fabio before getting rocked and even landed after he got rocked. By definition there is no way that round was a 10-7

You are insane. 10-7s are for when guys mount zero offense and are dropped multiple times. Hunt lost the round big but he didn't come close to going out

You lost this thread 10-7 though

Haha good one

You're right, it was a finish...lol

Fedor never went out (like he did for a split second against Hendo)

He then won the next 2 rounds.

After Fedor got rocked he immediately grabbed the back of Fabio's head to pull him in, tried grabbing/tying up his arm to help deflect punches, rolled, and got back to his feet. He never stopped trying to stay in the fight.

Seriously...

Lesnar mauled Hunt in that round.

Anyone else think that round was 10-7
I've been thinking to myself all morning...Hunt must've seen this fight playing out exactly in this manner...why didn't he just stick to TD defense in his camp??? Hunt has been a win, or two, away from a championship fight for a couple of years now. Brock was not going to slug with him, or surprise him in any way, shape, or form! WHY???

Fedor - Fabio wasn't even a 10-7

Fedor mounted effective offense, dominated the 1st 25% of the round, busted Fabio's nose, cut his eye, before getting rocked. Even after he got rocked he had his moments in the round.

You can't get a 10-7 when your opponent also lands. 10-8? Yes. 10-7...no way in hell

Round 5 of Shogun vs Hendo was a 10-7 IMO. I didn't even think round 3 of Lesnar vs Hunt was 10-8 I thought it was close to one but I still had it 10-9 cause no one was close to getting finished and the pace wasn't fast enough. IMO you have to do a lot to get a 10-8 without getting close to having a finish(like Forrest's 10-8 against Rampage).

That's fair. Whether right or wrong, that fight is stopped 9/10. There were about 2 minutes of that round where stoppage was iminent. Edgar and Maynard is the only other time I can recall a round feeling like that and not being a finish.

No one was hurt. A finish was never iminent. Hunt popped right up at the bell. This is not a 10-7. Clear 10-8, but nowhere close to 10-7.

Fedor vs. Maldonado was a 10-7

A 10-8 for me is when a guy nearly gets finished but survives and a 10-7 is someone chicken dancing round for 5 mins and somehow it didnt get stopped

The round was a 10-9

Maynard vs Edgar Round 1 was way worse and not even 1 judge called it a 10-7

Watch the Fabio - Fedor fight again. It was bad but not as bad as people think. Fabio dropped Fedor but Fedor ties up his arm and deflects most of the ground and pound.

Put it in slow motion to see that the punches were only doing things like grazing his lips. The most solid shot on the ground hit him in the eye. Fabio couldn't quite seal the deal and even said himself that he couldn't land the big shot that he needed on the ground to stop him

When Fedor got back up to his feet Fabio hurt him again with a big uppercut from underneath and behind him. Again...Fedor was wobbly but Fabio couldn't connect with the big shot to put him away.

We saw fights a few days later in where guys got dropped multiple times were on shaky legs and the ref let them continue. It happens all of the time. Even in the Bosse fight both guys got dropped and took more shots on the ground than Fedor. O' Connell, in particular, got dropped, took a beating on the ground, stood on shaky legs and it wasn't stopped

If a fighter is fighting back and trying to hang in there a ref usually gives them more time. If they lay down and cover up motionless like Mitrione did in his last fight they usually stop it. They let the Mirtione fight go on (and he ended up winning) Usually when a guy lies motionless (turtling) like Mitrione they stop the fight..especially after doing it for 5 seconds

No because Brock landed about 50 shots when he was on Mark.

Those add up. Hunt was on his back the majority of the round. Im not a Brock fan but he did win that round pretty decisively.

Fedor was actually pushing the pace in RD 2 and 3 but eating counters so it was close... Hunt landed a few then wound up on his back mostly eating punches. He did land a good amount back and I don't think Brock did much damage to him but purely on points he threw and landed more than Hunt did from bottom.
