Leon vs Wonderboy (assuming he wins) is the obvious next belt-challenger fight

LOL at people thinking Thompson should get the title shot over Edwards or Covington with a W.

First off, Colby was winning against Usman before Usman cracked his jaw. He should have arguably gotten an immediate rematch but instead went out and beat up the ex champ Woodley to further cement his #1 contender status. Period. And this is coming from someone who absolutely loathes Covington. He's earned it, and its his shot.

Next up is Edwards. He's on a 10 fight unbeaten streak since losing to Usman and unless this is your first day watching MMA, that's enough to get a title shot regardless of the opponents. And he's beaten big names like Luque, Cerrone, RDA, Diaz, and was beating Muhammad as well. You can argue about him beating up glorified LWs or beating these guys "past their prime" but he fought who was put in front of him and he's earned his shot as well.

Thompson is 3-2 in his last 5. Enough said. He will need to beat Burns and then win one more before he's earned a shot over the other 2 guys. Thompson/Edwards on the same card as Usman/Covington would be the best case scenario.

No. UFC trying to set up 3 piece w/ soda vs Leon. Leon ducked Wonderboy. Guy almost got KOd by Nate Wonderboy would tool him
Agreed

Fuck Leon Scott.
He could have fight Wonderboy, but went with Nate Diaz instead.
If Wonderboy win against Burns, pit him against the winner of Usman/Colby
The homies scared, thought Nate was an easy fight and got his jaw exposed in the process. More the fool Leon, showed us how average he is.

The fuck? If Wonderboy beats Burns, he should immediately get the shot against Usman.
I think so, what if Burns wins, does he go back to fighting Usman again? Or maybe Leon V Burns? Burns would hit him so hard, Leon would be like Bambi on ice

Beating Luque, Neal and Burns is not more impressive than a 9 fight win streak.
A 9 fight win streak over who exactly? Scrubs outside the top 10. Nah

Wonderboy is a terrible matchup for Leon which is why he's avoiding the fight

What are Leon's best wins?

RDA? Good win but not great. Luque and Burns are better win at 170. (If he beats Burns, of course)

Edwards also beat Luque. Gunner Nelson, Cerrone, Sobotta, Barberena, Tumenov are all good wins. Theres not many fighters that would have gone undefeated fighting those guys. Leons last loss is also a close fight with the Champ.

Out of the top 5 Leon is Wonderboys worst matchups. Leon can grapple and hang with Wonderboy on the feet. Wonderboy is an easy fight for Leon. Wonderboy was the one that avoided Leon not the other way around

Lol thats not true, Wonderboy called him out on twitter and Leon responded
Wonderboy schools Leon on the feet like Tumenov did, except he won't get taken down because his control of distance is too good

Wonderboy vs Leon Edwards. Fuck that fight
It would have to be infinite rounds until something happens.
Nevermind I would rather get a nasty skin infection than watch that "fight".

I know a girl, but it’ll cost ya.

How does Colby deserve an immediate rematch because the fight was close until he got finished in the 5th lmao? Did Gastelum deserve an immediate rematch against Izzy?

Colby imo doesnt even deserve the rematch with a win over Woodley, not when theres Leon or Wonderboy with better streaks going. Colby should at least fight one more top 5 before he gets the rematch.
