Media Leon says he will NOT sign contract vs. Colby Covington

Leon can't say he won't fight Colby because he doesn't deserve it, only to say he'll fight Masvidal if he beats Burns. Colby literally dominated Masvidal for 5 rounds straight one fight ago. Masvidal also has already had two title shots, one of which was ENTIRELY undeserved.

Recency matters. Colby can’t beat Masvidal and sit on that for a year, expecting a title shot. Masvidal lost, sure, but he is about to go to work to redeem himself. Meanwhile, Colby is trying to catch some camera time with his pink suit.

That aside, the forum has to decide whether Masvidal is a bum or whether he is a legit top 5 guy - if he is considered a bum, then the people claiming this can’t be pushing for a Colby title shot, obviously.

This is one horrible take... There is no way he wants to fight Shavkat, he is clearly the hardest fight in the division for anyone. Unbeaten and finishes everyone.

This bullshit of him not signing the deal with Colby is 100% him ducking, trying to get the easiest fight which is Jorge, he is praying he beats burns.

There is absolutely no chance that Edwards would sign up to face Shavkat, who is dangerous but relatively unknown. Not that the UFC would offer that anyway

The last thing Leon wants is to make an enemy of Dana. If he really refuses to play ball, as soon as he loses that belt it's game over. He will be given the worst possible match ups and cut at the soonest opportunity. I love Leon and his story but let's be honest, his style is incredibly boring. The head kick made a lot of people forget about the rest of his career.
