Leon will look silly when the fight is made
RIGHTFULLY SO.
Good on Leon. Someone’s gotta step up to that bald headed goof.
Fk Dana WHITE privilege.
He's angling for a Masvidal fight because it's the most winnable and the most marketable.

Yes but Ngannou may have screwed himself. How much money has he made in the last year? None and it's still up in the air as to if he makes any money from boxing, or BKFC, or some other MMA org.Life is a negotiation.
Ask Ngannou

aww, is little Leon scared?
If Leon was asking to fight Belal instead (who is the obvious most deserving guy right now) then I'd commend him for taking this stance. But the fact that he has openly said that he would welcome fights with both Masvidal and McGregor means that he is not at all deserving of any praise for this. Both of those guys, regardless of what happens in their next fights, are far less deserving than Colby - who I agree isn't even deserving in the first place.
Leon can't say he won't fight Colby because he doesn't deserve it, only to say he'll fight Masvidal if he beats Burns. Colby literally dominated Masvidal for 5 rounds straight one fight ago. Masvidal also has already had two title shots, one of which was ENTIRELY undeserved.
I also don't really like champions dictating who they will and will not fight. They should be forced to fight the top contender, or be stripped.
Its not like it has changed since he was already given hard match ups that didn't come to fruitation like the Khamzat fight that got cancelled like 3 times and then him getting past over to give Jorge a second title shotThe last thing Leon wants is to make an enemy of Dana. If he really refuses to play ball, as soon as he loses that belt it's game over. He will be given the worst possible match ups and cut at the soonest opportunity. I love Leon and his story but let's be honest, his style is incredibly boring. The head kick made a lot of people forget about the rest of his career.
He's not standing up to Dana. He is just negotiating and being moderately stubborn at this point. I'm sure this happens all the time behind closed doors. It's how you make more money, and/or get an easier fight so you can stay on top of the division longer (which will add to your "title defenses" and PPV headliner fights which makes you more money in the long run). Fully standing up to Dana would mean being willing to be stripped and cut from the UFC.I just became a fan.
About time somebody stood up to Dana.
But colby don't deserve to be the #1 contender. They just made that up. Usman got to get the money fights he wanted... Colby gets to be fake #1 contender for beating masvidal, but Leon can't fight masvidal if he beats burns?? Double standard. If Leon was asking to fight Belal instead (who is the obvious most deserving guy right now) then I'd commend him for taking this stance.
