I feel bad for Belal. He's really getting screwed.

From the sounds of it its not even gonna be a PPV, Unless they are planning on doing another 2 PPV's that month...
Fair point that, forgot about that well hopefully for Leon he gets let's a championship pay boost or something but either way good to see him potentially being back very soon and active.

Gee golly,
ufc back to London so soon?

Wonder what cut of the gate Leon is getting (to agree to this)

<BC1><36>

Leon: "i want to fight and train in my homeland"
UFC: "you can fight in your home country, if you fight Colby."
Leon: "no to colby"
UFC: "how about we move fights to weird locations, screw up the travel arrangements, fuck with weight cut, under promote, and switch opponents last minute. Colby is the backup though."
Leon: "London it is"

It's prolly two PPVs but HOLY FUCK that would be the ultimate mega troll by Dana White to skip Belal with Colby and then not even put it on a PPV (removing the draw argument lol).

He's definitely the most deserving, but Belal woulrn't sell nearly as much. So in a way Leon would be screwing himself if he'd pick Belal. The period of getting PPVpoints could be be short. Gotta make the best of it ,while it lasts.

I'm happy for Leon he is finally getting paid after also having to rack up a long winstreak and accepting all kinds of fights, including Khamzat, before getting the shot.

Hopefully Colby will help it sell well enough, and that they stack the card.

Still not convinced its happening.

Or rather taking a big hit of that Hopium.

People don’t seem to know how business works. Leon saying he wouldn’t sign the fight was a negotiation tactic to get paid more. I think he makes easier work of Colby than Usman and he knows it, he just wanted more money to entertain this silly fight. A fight that should never happen right now if MMA was a real sport based on merit, not the clownshow that it is.

Lol he caved in.
Or held out and got paid. I'd imagine it's the latter. His refusal was most likely not absolute but relative to pay expected to be received. Regular business.

Remember he's represented by Paradigm and he just came off the biggest selling UFC UK event in history. And the UFC really appreciates UK viewership and fanbase. A lot of cards in his favour. I seriously doubt he caved. I think they just came to terms, or are coming to them.

Wish they would have made it the 29th instead, should be great either way. Expecting something like:

Leon vs Colby
Paddy vs Tony
Aspinall vs Tybura
Molly vs Jojo
Gunnar vs Salikhov

lets go!

attn nerdy virgins: you’re not going to boycott the card because you hate colby. you’re going to watch it because you hate colby. it will be a must-see fight because you hate colby. and no matter who wins, whether it’s colby or edwards, everyone will be better off for it. colby bless.

Holding out and getting paid and caving can be seen as the same thing though. One just sounds less flattering.
