Leon's resume in the past 12 UFC fights:

- Lost to Usman in 2015, and Claudio Silva in 2014.
- 8 fights win streak

- 1 split decision win
- 6 decision wins:

2 judges scored fifth round to RDA,
49-46

2 judges scored third round to Gunnar Nelson,
29-29 (split)

2 judges scored fourth and fifth round to Cowboy,
48-47

3 judges scored the first round to Vincente Luque,
29-28

- 1 TKO and 1 knockout

. . .

RDA record since getting LW belt over Pettis in 2015

- RDA is going 1-5 since 2018
- Getting knockout by lightweight Alvarez in 2016

p/s:
I will say this tho that Luque is a good win

I think current version of Masvidal probably will beat Leon, along with Usman rematch, Colby and Burns.

RDA had a tough year prior, but he was coming off a huge win over Kevin Lee. He wasn’t washed, by a long shot.

Kamaru is the only high level wrestler he faced and lost... Khamzat is a better version of Kamaru, this won’t be close

i wouldn't be surprised if he gets destroyed.

Khazmat destroys him regardless of how good Leon is

It's easy to pick apart pretty much anyones resume and say he isn't good.

I tend to look more at what skills said fighter has displayed in the octagon and it's clear Edwards is world class
It is quite hard to analyze Leon's past fights because you cannot find any of the tape, only highlights:

A good Leon's own breakdown:

And insofar as decision wins go:

2 judges scored fifth round to RDA,
49-46

2 judges scored third round to Gunnar Nelson,
29-29 (split)

2 judges scored fourth and fifth round to Cowboy,
48-47

Khamzat has looked amazing so far, but he hasn't faced anybody remotely as skilled as Leon. Way too early with the "better version of Kamaru"-line.

Leon is overrated. He got dropped and very nearly finished by Barbarena.

He is a glorified local fighter. During his win streak, he fought 5 straight times in England or across the Channel in the Netherlands.

What?? You can watch his whole career on fight pass and ESPN+... I catch up on upcoming main event/guys I’m excited about all the time. You probably shouldn’t make a whole thread about the guy if you’re not watching who you’re talking about

Hate to steer this thread in another direction but when is Albert Tumenov coming back to the UFC?

Lost rounds to washed up Cerone and couldnt finish him. Split decision to Gunar (and taken down by) who has proven he is not elite. Leon loves his kicks and spinny shit which an easy opening for Chimaev.
