Lenne Hardt vs Bruce Buffer

I think Bruce Buffer is perfect for UFC and

This. Lenne is perfect for what a Japanese-style market, and Buffer is perfect for an American one.

But I agree with whomever has been saying Joe Martinez is better than either. That man is a true professional. I say fdo an outdoor boxing card in Vegas when WEC was still in business and not only is he very good at what he does, but when afforded the chance he can be really engaging with the crowd in between fights.

Didn't mean to make the threat about Joe though, I go back to that I see an American market seeing Lenne as being too over the top, while a Japanese market might see Buffer as not being over the top enough (if you can believe that, LOL).

I mean they had Kei Grant doing Bruce's job in PRIDE, not Lenne.

He basically did what Bruce did, so I dont think the transition would be that hard for Bruce.

Kei had a better voice, but he was less engaging than Bruce.

Lenne was someone, who for years, no one even knew what she looked like.

K-1 also had a lady do that but I never knew what she looked like or which promotion came up with the idea first to have ladies screaming when fighters came to the ring.

Joe Martinez is a fine announcer with a good voice, but I'd still rather the Buff raise everyones blood pressure, over him.

I think it'd add a lot to the show if Hardt was there announcing fighters into the arena, but only title/main event PPV fights to make it feel more special

Then Buffer can keep doing whatever tf he's doing in the octagon since some people seem to enjoy it

Yeah that's true, I hardly remember doing a lot of fighter introductions, I think I remember her doing 1-2 at one of the Pride events in Vegas (I went to them both). Was the first time I had ever seen her, I'd always only heard her.

I remember mostly for doing the "Parade of Fighters" with the Pride theme blaring in the background, they complimented each other well. There is no musical introduction like that in UFC, so I'm not so sure it would be as effective.

Watching Pride/Dream on YT for the first time with Lenne Hardt's announcements was a trip lol. "Norrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrifumi" - I was like "wtf is going on?!" Really added to the mystique. Combined with the Pride theme, hearing her in the Shockwave 2006 opening gives me shivers and instantly puts a smile on my face.

Its hard choice for me bur I almost prefer the classic simplicity and unobtrusiveness Lenne Hardt It actually wasnt that simple with the light and firework show.....the only thing I can liken it to is Mad Max Thunderdome on sterioids I actually went to a few pride events and those intros got my blood crawling in a good way .....she was so damn good

Bruce Buffer is great as well but is too egotistical for my tastes and I dont care for how uninvitedly ham hes become with the fist bumps and attention he often demands on the 'stage'
