Bruce is garbage, he doesn't enunciate or pronounce names correctly half the time. Not to mention his little routine and gaudy suits are laughable.

Lenne is way too over the top for my tastes. I get why they used her, she gives an epic feel to the fights but her shtick gets old quick imo. Still, talent-wise she's miles above Bruce.

Joe Martinez is easily my favorite announcer. Enunciation and pronunciation on point, doesn't draw attention to himself, just quality announcing.

The same announcing style that's been happening in boxing for a million years is stale sir.

Again, when it comes to the basic purpose of a ring announcer she's the worst out of everyone mentioned. You like the spectacle and the screeching Pride lady does that for you. But objectively she's not as good at the job as everyone else. She would not work in the US. Someone going to an MMA event for the first time is gonna be going wtf is this? Who am I watching?

I think Bruce Buffer is perfect for UFC and

Lenne in Pride, Buffer in UFC.

Lenne in UFC would be weird, and Buffer in Pride wouldn't be anywhere near as epic.

This. Lenne is perfect for what a Japanese-style market, and Buffer is perfect for an American one.

But I agree with whomever has been saying Joe Martinez is better than either. That man is a true professional. I attended an outdoor boxing card in Vegas when WEC was still in business and not only is he very good at what he does, but when afforded the chance he can be really engaging with the crowd in between fights.

Didn't mean to make the threat about Joe though, I go back to that I see an American market seeing Lenne as being too over the top, while a Japanese market might see Buffer as not being over the top enough (if you can believe that, LOL).
