LeBron is is a better player than Jordan.

Bullshit.

I can tell you as someone who watched the Bulls growing up and winning, Jordan carried that team all six years... much more valuable than Lebron.

Sure Pippen was good.. but not superstar status either. There were some other key role players like Grant and Rodman.... but Lebron had Wade and Bosh in Miami and has Love and Irving in Cleveland.. much better supporting cast.

I mean that whole super team circus says enough for me.

The Bulls won 50+ games without Jordan and went 7 games with the Kicks in the Eastern semifinals.

I'm not going to say Lebron is better but Jordan had an outstanding cast and Pippen was without a doubt a superstar talent.

Pippen has his best years statistically when Jordan left for sure. Pippen was a star but not a superstar like Jordan, Bird, Drexler, etc.... Jordan had a good team around him and a great coach in Jackson, but he didn't have the same team LeBron does now and did in Miami, I don't think it is really even close.

You could say that Bosh and Love are to LeBron what Pippen was to Jordan... but LeBron having Kyrie and Wade is a huge burden off of his back.

and if we're being completely fair here... the game is lot different now than it was 20 years ago... so it's not completely apples to apples

Completely disagree. The Jordan less Bulls that won 50 games would destroy any Lebronless team.

And like you said Jackson was a great coach. Tryon Lui might end up being a great coach but all of LeBron's coaches before that were trash.

If Jordan wouldn't have left for baseball, he would have gone to and won 8 straight titles. Lebron has benefitted greatly from an unbelievably weak eastern conference, while Jordan went through the 90's Pistons, Celtics, Knicks, Pacers, and Magic(that's just the east).

On top of all that, if Jordan played with today's rules; hand check fouls, body contact fouls, anti-flop rules, weak flagrant fouls, and restricted area, he would have gotten to the rim at will, gotten key defenders in foul trouble, and gone to the FT line(where he shot 84%) 5-10 more times a game. He would have literally put up videogame numbers(his stats are already pretty ridiculous).

Its laughable that people always use the same dumb argument that Jordan would benefit greatly from current rules, but always completely ignore that Lebron is a physical beast and would have equal or greater benefits from the old rules...

What old rules would have benefitted him?

Today's rules help clear out the paint and result in more defensive fouls. The older rules would have forced Lebron to take more mid range jump shots, something he's not particular great at(shoots less than 50%). He also would have gotten hammered ("Jordan Rules" style) every time he went the rim. No flagrants would be called and a personal foul would only be called 60-70% of the time. His scoring and rebound output would drop compared to what it is.

His assist output would stay more or less the same. It would have helped him on the defensive end, barely though, since he is mainly a perimeter defender.

Jordan would mentally rape Lebron. Would have won before the game even started

LeBron is more talented, more ability, but Jordan was more consistent, performed better on a a night to night basis.

So, yet again, the assumption is that Jordan would simply adapt to the game today (which was essentially the game in the mid 90's, except only for him), and Lebron would be stifled because he would play the exact same and couldn't handle the more physical style of play...

Right.

He would also beat jordan 1 on1. Jordan wouldnt be strong enough to stop him and lebron would be able to stop him.
This is what i alwasy find hilarious in this argument is that Jordan's perimeter D was top tier, and his work offensively on the peremiter has only been even close to being rivaled by Kobe, so what we have is a tall "anywhere" shooter, playing 1on1 with a guy whose only way to win would be to drive constantly into exhaustion, then still somehow take the ball out and keep trying to stop a guy who would destroy him on the line? hahahah that's just a hilarious thought

ANd LeBron had an "Outstanding Cast" and lost two finals with them to old ass teams from Texas, and should have lost another if it were not for Ray Allen being a GOAT shooter and Ginobili choking at the ft line

lol @ thinking anyone can defend lebron 1 on 1. hes too fucking big and fast and has good handles as well.
You know Basketball is more than just driving and dunking right?

Tons of people "Defend Lebron" on a weekly

1 on 1 Lebron would win. Jordan can't defend his size.

But basketball is a team game so 1 on 1 doesn't mean shit
I don't think LeBron can guard Jordan 1v1. Esp younger Jordan that still had his first step. He'd get driven on to Bolivia as soon as he stepped out to stop the J.

LeBron would basically have to post up Jordan on O.

No one in history has been to 6 or 7 championships? Ever heard of Bill Russell?
Sick of all the bill russell shit. Hes a fucking cancrusher dude faced a bunch of bums.

Jordan would mentally rape Lebron. Would have won before the game even started
Yea im sure legoat would get rattled by a little trash talk. Why do ppl make jordan out to be some mental warfare beast he just talked mad shit thats it. It wouldnt affect either of them in a one on one battle.

I just dont see how jordan stops a 6'8 240 pounds freight train 1v1 nobody can stop that. He fucking drives in the lane with multiple guys there and still finishes and bullrushes them. Yet somehow the invincible jordan would shut him down lel
