The power started to come back a bit towards the end dropping Rockhold and Silva. Working with Jason Parilo did him good. He just never planted his feet properly when throwing a big shot is what I remember them saying he had to really fix in his game. They guy had legendary stamina and endurance. Built a successful career off of it (because lord knows he didn't have the hand power). How that isn't "good genes" is beyond me.
he also had that weird skill of being able to get back up to his feet using the cage was very hard to keep him down. They guy had legendary stamina and endurance. Built a successful career off of it (because lord knows he didn't have the hand power). How that isn't "good genes" is beyond me.
Jamahal Hillary is not "athletic"; but I get exactly where you are coming fromBad list. Jamahal won only because of his athleticism. Aspinall is fast and powerful, even more impressive from his grappling background. Carla was a physical beast and much more gifted than her competitors.
He's from Da Hood BrahThis guy is absolutely one of the least explosive and least athletic men to ever hold an undisputed belt imo.
Additionally he has no worthwhile pedigree.
No black belts I am aware of.
Not an NCAA wrestler or even juco

That would certainly explain it, and I can kind of see it in his stance looking back. The power started to come back a bit towards the end dropping Rockhold and Silva. He has a pretty respectable resume. tbhThat would certainly explain it, and I can kind of see it in his stance looking back.
I grew to like him. But I remember for years that he was "that guy" that I'd pretty much always assume was going to lose. . . but who usually ended up winning.
He may not have looked the part, the abs, the muscle etc, but he had the skills that was always improving, cardio, endurance, most of all heart add that with the skills he did have great kickboxing, grappling, and in his later years his boxing really cleaned up.he also had that weird skill of being able to get back up to his feet using the cage was very hard to keep him down.
Good job getting hammered by Dan who is 45 and avoiding Yeol, Jacare, Withtaker and Weidman.Champ twice

I can kind of understand it, Strickland looks very plodding in his footwork.Sean Strickland
TIM “TIMMAY” SILVAI don't like him but I'll say belal no punching power and not that fast on top of starting late. Hell of a chin though.
Good joke. Jon and GSP are paper cherry pick champs of the divison above. They are small for it. LHW and WW goats but HW MW paper champs. GSP held up the division to get more rich causing Jacare to not get a chance to get a shot. Undeserved title shot. Only wanted it with Bisping for a title.GSP>Whittaker, Weidman, Jacare, Yoel
To add to this, he threw a lot of lower power volume in his hands but deep down (especially at MW) he was actually really strong and big for the weight class. They guy had legendary stamina and endurance. Built a successful career off of it (because lord knows he didn't have the hand power). How that isn't "good genes" is beyond me.
