International Leaked Biden Admin Memo shows concern about Out of Control Corruption in Ukraine

I may bookmark this thread in case I ever need to explain the terms "rationalization" and "cognitive dissonance" to someone.
Sure especially for Pentagon.
To claim that produced in 1980 ies Bradley might cost 2 m $ bucks etc beauties.
Also for U.S MIC to charge export customers for the same missile 300-500k$ while Pentagon had paid approx 168k$ for such missile etc.

Especially funny are cases when military assistance net worth is calculated according to already scheduled and approved replacement costs with NEW ewuipment and ammo that had been paid anyway, had been war in Ukraine or no.

BTW especially if we add costs of utilisation for old cluster ammo....
These are very impressive bills that otherwise had been paid by taxpayers and not likely U.S ever will force their troops to fight by using such ammo produced 30-50 years ago....

So instead to be happy for very cheap utilisation process there is bi partisan crying about " taxpayers money wasted ".

@Loiosh you’re usually pretty reasonable.

Not sure how you got Germans = Nazis from my very clear post.

If to talk about corruption and nepotism etc shit regards money transfers this IS reality.
While the same EU/ EP and EBRD and WB + individual countries are demanding audits done in depth multiple times .... In order for Ukr to improve something.
And yes, reality is that some Ukr bireucrats or their friends had bought shares in EU companies, mortgage in EU etc. while here at least tax institutions are triggered from where you get money to purchase this or this and... A lot of loud demands to Ukr to explain a lot of things.
For example plans to use our money to renowe museum in area under shelling with missiles etc bullshit.

With money for museum renowation was most funny stuff.
Zelensky administration...we will renowe museum in city X and need your taxpayers money as assistance.
Good for peace time not when you are asking our taxpayers to pay for SAM missiles to protect city X.
So we should protect shelled city X and in the same time to renowe museum in the same city X despite this is under shelling with missiles?
Really logical way of thinking?
Really?
Pavement reconstruction projects in the same city X etc beauties....

The biggest failure of Zelensky administrstion is that to be successful they should openly in plain text to implement wartime economy today instead to talk about reconstruction and museums etc stuff.
U.K in 1940-1945 th had spent almost 0 pound to refubrish museums in U.K.
This reason why one gentleman afforded openly tell reality; we aren't Amazon + Santa Claus.

Nor Russia, China, India, Iran, Israel, North Korea, South Korea.
Aka any country that didn't have it's head up it's ass about another war ever occurring.

You have zero concept of the civilian collateral damage issues with cluster bombs… lol. Or maybe you do

Shocking the US DOD doesn’t give a fuck…

Biden dropped a missile on a rando Afghan family after the airport bombing during the pullout

As Part of highly touted over the horizon capabilities by Psaki and Blinkin

So Germans and Nazis are synonymous?

Only the Literally Nazis… lol

And are we witnessing a magical transition where moron progressives can’t call anyone right of a Classic Liberal a “Nazi” anymore?

No need to get upset.
Was just pointing out that of the world powers exactly none of them, with exception of the EU signed that treaty.
You seems awefuly upset the US didn't ban them but seem to care little for the others.

The issue with cluster munitions in regards to Ukraine should be relatively minimal.
The biggest problem with cluster munitions would be the relatively large amount of UXO's, which might act like a landmine later on.
Both Russia and Ukraine have been placing millions of landmines in the combat areas.
Meanwhile the UXO rate from the US-supplied cluster munitions shouldn't be much higher than ~3%.
Try looking up what that rate is for the Russian variants. And yes, they have been using them in this conflict.

If you sanction a country in order to damage their economy, you only have yourself to blame when people start leaving and showing up at your door. End the sanctions and the people stop leaving.

Oh yes, its always the fault of capitalism when socialism generates mass amount of starvation and misery.

The height of the Venezuelan crisis was in 2017, sanctions started in 2019.

Want to elaborate on said picture or is it supposed to convey a message on its own?

Interesting. I had a buddy working in the UN who said the same thing very early into the UKR/RUS conflict, and that basically the US was giving just enough aid to keep the conflict going… his position was that this was actually an action against Europe and most-specifically Germany, and that the US involvement forced European/German involvement to their own detriment (related to currency valuation and/or oil… I forget the details).

While some may decry this as a conspiracy theory and maybe it is, the effects on the German economy are clear. It’s very likely shrinking in 2023, despite Russias economy growing this year. Also for 2024 only a growth of 1.3% is expected for Germany (keep in mind the shrinking in 2023). Currently, if Germany does not drastically reduce its energy costs for the various industries and the population, things are looking dire for Germany.

This isn't progressivism, I'm German. My grandfather was in the Luftwaffe, was he a Nazi?

The article made it clear how this is being used for Russian propaganda.

People forget that the Russians were also villains in WWII.

Do you have a source for your claim, or not?

<JagsKiddingMe>

I'm provided them plenty of times, is there any point doing to so again?

Do you need to be convinced? Do you not think they have a white supremacist core? If I don't make a compelling case will you say they aren't white supremacist?

??

What does that have to do with anything?

It was a former Nazi soldier celebrated in parliament.

Is there any point in you providing evidence for your claims? Is that what you’re asking?

Bro, YOU made the claim, now back it up… or don’t. It’s your choice.
