Yes motive is what matters. A terrorist attack requires a political motive but a heinous crime like this lacking that doesn't make it less heinous. So, motive in your opinion is more important than dead people. Go it.
...and motive with no deaths is terrorism. Ok.
Why does motive matter so much to you? Does it changed the fact that 58 people died?
What does high functioning autism have to do with this though? As far as mental illness that could push someone to do this that's at the bottom of the list. The guy screams of highly functioning autistic to me. At his age it likely went undiagnosed. His motive could be non-existent and he was just impulsed to do it.
Nah, that's silly. Would be a very burdensome regulation in the service of preventing extremely rare events. So everyone is talking about the gun control question but I'm not hearing any other solutions or countermeasures to this kind of attack.
What do you guys here think about hotels being mandated to have bullet proof glass? Or alarms that alert authorities when windows are broken? That coupled with robust security in every hotel would have probably reduced the amount of casualties by half.
I love the antifa conspiracies coming from the rightUpdate : Johnny has not posted since this humiliating failure.
Unless........ He was on the right track and Antifa operatives took him down?
Hate to say it but if you tracked the numbers bought/sold by each individual (actual individuals not companies or resellers) that's not unheard of.
He checks off many of the boxes. Anti-social behavior. Obsessive compulsive tendencies. Pictures where he avoids eye contact. What does high functioning autism have to do with this though? As far as mental illness that could push someone to do this that's at the bottom of the list.
Sure but autism is not really some predictor of extreme violence like this as far as I know. It doesn't really shed too much light on why he would do something like this.He checks off many of the boxes. Anti-social behavior. Obsessive compulsive tendencies. Pictures where he avoids eye contact.
Just an observation that he seemed to have some autistic traits.

Surprising on both counts
I'm not sure what you're saying. That one burst does sound like belt fire, right?
Or fuck me, how about the "Do Not Disturb" maintained for 3 days straight
My work buds were just debating that one, because a lot of people I know can point to vacations where they're gone 2 days easily, but 3 seems a bit much no?
Not sure what your point is. Still not as bad as Vegas
Why wouldn't you want him to announce he had a belt fed machine gun?Surprising it's legal to fire semi-auto really really fast? There's no legal limit. Just a law regulating trigger mechanisms that fire multiple rounds with one function of the trigger.
Really the legislative lesson here is how pointless banning full autos is. We still have mass shootings. Get rid of bumpstocks and we'll still have 'em. Gonna have to ban 'em all and then hope 3D printing doesn't advance (which is highly unlikely).
I don't have a point. I ran across the video of the guy saying he recognized the sound of belt-fed and told the other guy that while it could be bumpstocks he ddin't think so. Couple that with the police saying 12 guns with those stocks were present and no mention of belt-fed and I thought it was funny. Immediately after posting I then ran across the sound comparison and had to agree with the reporter dude that there was a definite similarity. Sure hope the cops don't announce he later he actually had one.
Not for me. The DND tag is always hanging outside my door.
On the morning of December 29, the U.S. Cavalry troops went into the camp to disarm the Lakota. One version of events claims that during the process of disarming the Lakota, a deaf tribesman named Black Coyote was reluctant to give up his rifle, claiming he had paid a lot for it.[7] A scuffle over the rifle ensued, causing several Lakota to draw their weapons and open fire on the cavalry regiment. The situation quickly devolved as both sides began firing indiscriminately.https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wounded_Knee_Massacre

150-300 killed:
90 men killed
200 women and children killed[3][4]
51 wounded (7 fatally)
This happened right after the US Gov had disarmed the tribe. Which is why you wont hear about it. It counters the anti-gun narrative.

Twenty-five army soldiers also died, and 39 were wounded (6 of the wounded later died).[8]

I don't know that that stands out.
Why wouldn't you want him to announce he had a belt fed machine gun?
As a gun guy wouldn't you want this to be as illegal as possible?

If the wikipedia you linked it says they were in the process of disarming them and a battle broke out. It didn't sound they just went in and started shooting up the place indiscriminately.
listen im a gun guy .I like guns ,buy gun magazines and like when the new stuff comes out from a shooting paper targets point of view. I have no problems with the govt keeping an eye on any larger purchases (15+) guns in a 6 month period etc.I don't know that that stands out.
