So I have two really good friends who originally lived in Vegas. Gave the one I'm closest with the head's up the morning it happened. He's part of a Whatsapp group of guys I text pretty much daily. He was a member of the Sherdog Clash of Clans clan (and trolled the shit out of me as leader all the time). I once posted a video of his blindfolded knife skills on the Dog. Of course he jumped on his phone, and was relieved to inform us that none of his immediate family were harmed.

Today, we got an update. Two of his cousins were shot. One was shot in the leg. The other is one of the 59.

I'm not American, but it's true that America does have a gun culture and a lot take their 2nd Amendment seriously.

I guess it depends on what you mean by 'the problem' though. If it's homicides then really the problem would be primarily gang violence and hand guns.

If it's high profile mass shootings, then it's probably not a good idea to get carried away with stripping people of their rights based on a statistically insignificant subset of overall homicides, based on a 'solution' that wouldn't even prevent them, and would hardly even deter them.

Damn, sorry to hear. I used to live in Vegas for a few years and grew up not too far from there. Luckily everyone I knew was okay, but it definitely hits close to home. Hope your friend is holding up.
