A friend took me to Ft Lewis and got me the ok to shoot an M2 while standing in a Humvee. I don't think I stopped smiling for about 48 hours every time I thought about it.

Fair enough. I only grew up around medium powered rifles, one semi auto. meh

I grew up around a bit of everything but the my family didn't have a semi-automatic until my dad bought me a 1911 for my 21st. My college graduation gift wasn't a car or anything fancy like that, my dad gave me his old Rolex and some cash to finish my AR.

I grew up around them but never touched one till I was 13. Was always scared of them until then.

Don't care in the slightest about being woke. Just curious on a so far strange and awful event that occurred. I'm sure there will be plenty of theories floating around and more evidence as time goes by, especially given the fact this is the most severe mass shooting in US history so far. It will be picked apart in numerous ways.

I feel like we'll never really know though. Shit like this seems to always get lost in the narrative the media wants to push of either "It's an AR" (when the pic is clearly a SKS) and shit.
