Larry Holmes continues to trash Mike Tyson: "he would be a no name in my era"

i dont know if he is a retard, or just doesnt have a fucking clue about anything

its one thing asking questions because you dont know anything...he is spamming every forum with utter shite
Sometimes I forget to look around to see who I've gone in circles with before otherwise I wouldn't waste my time.

I was thinking if Joshua kissed his ass. Joshua- Mike Tyson would look like the Bruno fights, at best.
Joshua is much bigger than Bruno and hits a hell of a lot harder. He'd always have a puncher's chance against Mike Tyson. As someone else on this forum once pointed out Mike had difficulty with taller rangier guys. Joshua is like 6'6 with a very long reach. Mike should win but there's no guarantee that he would. Not when you can hit like Joshua can.

I dont think Joshua hits harder than Bruno. Bruno is worse at executing his punches on average though. But that wont matter.

The reason it will look like the Bruno fights is because Joshua lacks the experience, and he certainly wont know how to counter a pressure fighter like Tyson, if we time travel him to face Joshua. Joshua would completely collapse. His right hand would not be a factor at all. He wont have room to throw it effectively and his defence would be all over the place. He has no head movement.

And last but not least, Joshuas chin is vulnerable. Perfect prey for Tyson.

Bruno doesn't punch like Joshua. He was able to KO lesser opposition but Joshua's actually KO'd world class fighters. That's the difference. The most similar opponent to Mike Tyson that Joshua fought in terms of their style & build was Povetkin and Joshua knocked him out in 7 rounds.

I didnt say Bruno punched like Joshua, I said their power is comparable. Joshua lost every round to povetkin prior to to the knockout and povetkin is no mike tyson.

Andy Ruiz is no mike tyson either and Mike Tyson would slaughter him too. The fact that Joshua could beat Ruiz in a rematch when Ruiz wasnt capable of closing the distance, means nothing. Mike Tyson knows how to close the distance.

None of this means Mike Tyson is some godly figure, hes just a lot better than those guys.

False. Joshua was ahead on the cards when he knocked out Povetkin and rightly so.

I agree Povetkin is a poor man's Tyson but you compared Frank Bruno to Joshua. The latter is far more accomplished.
I compared the outcome of the fight. Bruno did better against guys who jabbed and fought on the outside, like Lewis.... Did very well until the knockout.

Same with Joshua. Did very well against Wladimir Klitchko.

They both collapse against pressure fighters.

Bruno did well for 6 or 7 rounds before Lewis caught him with a left hook that he followed up on. You might want to consider how much size & range Mike would be giving up to Joshua. I'll repeat what I said earlier. Mike should win but he's lost to lesser opponents and so has Joshua. The outcome isn't a foregone conclusion.

I was talking about in their primes. and no he hasnt. The incarnation of buster douglas that beat Tyson would beat the shit out of Joshua.

Douglas was a one-hit wonder just like Ruiz is. He isn't beating Joshua, or Wladimir, or anyone worth a fuck.

you're on crack. Joshua would outbox Buster Douglas easily.

I think it's a double standard to use Ruiz as a reason why Joshua isn't that good but then pretend that Buster Douglas was superman for one day.

Boxing fans often forget that those older guys are brain damaged.

Even boxers who left the sport fairly undamaged at first glance, sometimes pop up with weird phrases. George Foreman being one of those.... Remember when he said that McGregor hurt Floyd and that the referee saved Floyd from getting knocked out.
Yes George is in his mid 70s today, but this was in 2017.

George said that he thought the low blow that Conor hurt Floyd with was a legal body shot if I recall.

No he wouldn't. Buster had better fundamentals. His weakness was His conditioning and Spirits.

He was one of the hardest punchers also
