Some MAGA types feel they have the right to be a jerk about it and face no social consequences. Of course if a family member merely voted Trump in the booth and left it at that and maybe a bumper sticker that's one thing but there's a core of like ~20% of the country that are hardcore MAGA and take it much further than that. Trump's unsavory behavior has acted as a greenlight for his more zealous supporters to engage in cruelty against their perceived outgroups.

Appealing to authority and majority doesn't automatically make something true, but if you're saying one thing and 1000 other people are saying another, you may need to rethink your stance. With science specifically I'd say this heavily applies. The internet is full of people denying anything science says while they themselves know literally jack shit and can't define scientific terms they argue against but can tell you with certainty that "Nah... No... That ain't right".

I know Trump did as he always does. Noone else meaning viewership or fans or even the media took notice. The only notice taken was when he had trump on. In Hollywood you can get blacklisted for that crap. Maybe comedy clubs as well. I saw that comedian with a mustache that has a podcast had his special cancelled close to the event when he had Trump on.

Maga peeps are jerks about what? Who you vote for? In Houston it's not a thing that I've seen as many Hispanics still voted kamala as did many black peeps many that I know. Its a diverse mix.

In terms of canceling type stuff ...that mostly falls on the left that ive seen. Though you do have backlash to bud or target you could point to but just as many people listen to Taylor swift now as before and noone wants to cancel her...

This is false...he does not have a wide margin of the popular vote...the difference between him and Kamala was less than 2% of people who voted...moreover he received only about 30 percent of the vote from the voting age population...not a wide margin at all.
