Colby Convington and Kamaru Usman are the new Kosceck and Jon Fitch.
He beat hendricks in my opinion. Was basically better Hendricks in terms of making weight and athletic ability.
Ok. That’s all I have to say about that.Listen, Kos has shutter down boys.

“You never know, I might come back some day,” Koscheck said. “The biggest thing about my mixed martial arts career, at the ending it didn’t go the way I wanted. It’s almost like you kind of just lose it, and it pains me to say that. It really, truly pains me as a fighter because I have a big ego - everybody that steps inside that cage has a big ego - but I truly didn’t have it. I couldn’t go out there and compete with these young guys. I felt great in the gym. I was in great shape. I don’t think I was ever in better shape than I was at 38, 39, and 40, but I just didn’t have it.”
Discuss.
Yep. GSP gave him fighter PTSD.Kos def. fell off a cliff after the GSP rematch. The broken orbital was severe and it affected his mindset for his following fights. He'd wipe at the same eye after even a glancing shot to it and then get gunshy and become a defensive shell until he'd get beatdown.
Who cares? Tank was a great personality, which is way more than you can say for Kos. I watched the PPV for UFC 6 when it was on, that was my first UFC. Tank mocks his opponent while he goes into a post-KO seizure; he grins at the crowd while holding Varlans down and pounding him.. Tank was a crazy MF, but he was a great personality- he had qualities, instead of being just a sour prick like Kos.
He outstruck Hendricks and landed more significant strikes.
The similarity that was implied was that they both played the villain role; the difference was that Tank had some real personality and humor; Kos was a stick in the mud and a real prick (again, I met him, my friend trained with him). Many years ago, I did a thread with loads of Tank's funny statements.Kos had some very entertaining moments and was twice the fighter Tank ever was. Besides, the two aren't even comparable. Tank was a bar room brawler & Kos was the typical meat headed jock athlete, nothing similar about the pair at all.
Still remember his KO of Zenko...

Tank was a pioneer in the sport; one of the people that made it possible for guys like Kos to make a living in sports. There was no TUF or MMA training of any kind when Tank started.
For real, Tank did more than play this "villain role"... He was dead serious. The similarity that was implied was that they both played the villain role; the difference was that Tank had some real personality and humor; Kos was a stick in the mud and a real prick (again, I met him, my friend trained with him). Koscheck was an ass but he stayed afloat through a couple eras at WW and was still competitive with the up and comers until his last slid. For that I give him props.
Crazy both these guys retired within days of each other and no one cares. Actually, I dont either now that I think about it.

I hope so, then Maybee he’d have some damn respect for what we do. One nurse does more for communities, humanity and the world in general than 1000 koshcjeks.Plot twist: Koschek retired to go be a nurse
