Is there any benefit to doing pushups on your knuckles? As in using closed fists?
thanks

More rom, and if any conditioning is being done it's not to your fists, but to your wrists.

I know guys who do these entirely because putting weight on their wrists bent as in a regular push up hurts too much.

Yeah, I was wondering whether or not that was broscience.

Broscience is not necessarily wrong tho!

I've done these off and on for 12 years and I've never broken a bone in my hands or wrist. I was told back in the day that it helped strengthen the muscles in the wrist to prevent your hand from breaking when you punch. I believe it does help. And supposedly it hardens your knuckles or maybe just deadens the nerves...

More neutral shoulder position, deeper ROM, can help people who have wrist pain. People who say they should be used for bone strengthening would be better off just punching.

Seemed to help my wrists as they always hurt after hitting a heavy bag, can't prove the made the difference but I think they helped.

I am that guy. I had a wrist injury from judo, and it hurts when I bend my wrist backwards. Handstands and cartwheels are awkward on knuckles, lol.
