Knives

It's all about trade-offs. Stainless steels will always be more brittle & less wear than their non-stainless counterparts, that's just the way metallurgy works. The grain size will also be larger which limits how sharp the edge can get. If corrosion resistance isn't a concern, non-stainless steels will always outperform their stainless counterparts.
Paid about 1000 dollars for two custom Malanikas made of Elmax (puuko and a leuku) and it's impressive how sharp they can be and how long the edge holds. Stainless can be very good. Hard as fuck to sharpen though, feels like I'm sharpening diamond.

Switchblades are illegal in Canada so you'll have to find a way to smuggle it in.
However, Kershaw makes spring assisted knives which might as well be switchblades and these are legal where we live.

Look for anything that says "assisted" or "assisted opening" and it'll be the same as the one in the video.

Thanks brotato! They were illegal when I carried them too but was able to get them on eBay. But now none of the sellers are willing to risk it lol. Fair enough. But with crackheads stabbing everybody over nothing, I’d rather take my chances with the law, yanno? At least I won’t be dead on the pavement (I hope). Anyways, def checking it out x

I have beauty in its case, a Victorinox Hunter Pro Alox Damast Limited Edition 2020. The damasc pyramid pattern is super Sexy and it just feels sturdy and good, would be my go to for a knife fight.
My regular knife for the woods is made by a Sami smith in the north and also real nice

finally decided to dip my toes in a mid-budget knife—Spyderco Para3 w/ s110v blade steel & g-10 handle scales. ended up getting one of the titanium clips from LynchNW because goddamn the stock Spyderco pocket clip is a legit tragedy of dog shit design & functionality.

i’ve been putting this thing through a ton of heavy use at work the past few weeks since getting it & the edge is still slicing as if it was still day 1 fresh out the box.
customized my para 3 w/ new scales & hardware from Flytanium

I started watching Naruto. The rookie kid ninjas seem to mostly use kunais including vs. sword users. Apparently Amazon as seller sells kunais made of stainless steel made in China. Advertised as for camping and throwing while camping.

Who here owns a kunai?

Would I get into trouble if I used some public park trees for kunai target practice? Actually I wouldn't want to damage trees.
