I like cutlery, the good shit where I live was made by a local legend. If you are from Ohio you should know…

I don't collect knives, but if there was some cool movie or comic character known for his iconic knife, I might buy a replica. Like maybe Rambo's knife, Lion-O's Sword of Omens, etc.
Cost? You remember I said about the London comic con in the toy thread , the Country Girl bought a metal full size replica of the Sword of Omens and the dagger from Thundercats from a stand there to be delivered in due course..
Cost?
Tried searching and I may have seen one on Amazon, but not 1:1 scale.
Yes, the WW1 trench knife is exactly like that. There's very few originals left, but there's plenty of companies in america doing very good replicas. Is there such thing as nonfolding knife with spiked brass knuckles handle? I resumed watching a bit of Rebel Moon Pt 2 Director's Cut and it had me wondering if a normal person should invest in one in case of societal unrest.

yeah, i don't know how the laws are like in america but this would be completely illegal in europe in most places.yeah just dont get pulled over carrying that or walk around with it . cool to collect
yeah thats like walking probable cause even in the most conservative or states. Some states you can open carry a fixed blade like Texas Florida etc but its not usually done unless you are hunting or hiking outdoors , Every now and then you see some nut all tactical vest etc carrying a fixed blade but its an obvious red flag to the cops and just unnecessary. i carry a fixed blade (under 8in overall) in my sling bag and a under 4 in folder in my pocket and most days just carry the folder to cut amazon boxes or fidget withyeah, i don't know how the laws are like in america but this would be completely illegal in europe in most places.
I'm assuming "super steels" refers to stuff like Magnacut.I've been into knives about 40 yrs since my dad would take me to knife shows etc. I am kind of a steel snob. I prefer super steels that have great edge retention and quality etc I have about 6 knives i EDC but own about 120+ knives pocket, fixed, etc. I live in a state where i can own automatics so i carry Mircotech, Protech, etc
(From left to right)
Civivi Cogent (son bought for xmas ) its a cheaper knife but fun to fidget with
Spyderco Southard : Designed by knifemaker Brad Southard in CTS204p steel long since discontinued and i don't carry it alot since its valuable
Kershaw Bareknuckle: SMKW exclusive in super steel CPM20cv discontinued
Protech TR3 Swat automatic in Cpm154cm steel . one of my fav to carry and their warranty is the best .. I mailed the knife in because the button was sticking and they mailed me a brand new knife!
Protech Terzuola ATCF automatic designed by knifemaker Robert Terzuola in S45VN steel and my fav edc wife bought for my 50th bday
Spyderco paramilitary 2 in S30v steel just a great edc

^ For what purpose? For EDC? A particular target? Looks like it's intended for target to bleed out.

Do you know: is there one steel alloy that is prized above all others as a blend? I imagine it doesn't necessarily have to be the most expensive one because the elements that make up the mix aren't the rarest or hardest to come by. And I suspect what is most prized changes depending on what characteristics you're after for a knife.
But let's assume price isn't an issue, and the skill/equipment of the knifemaker can handle anything. Is there a best?
