Knives

Bunch of tacticool landlubbers and LARPers ITT.

Only brand of knives I'll ever buy for work on the seas:

They regulate knives but are known for knife violence. Interesting.
It is usually with like 5-7 inch blade mall ninja knives too those laws in the U.K actually just make criminals rebel or not follow the law anyway sort of like gun laws.

<{katwhu}>
damn Bugout and Para 2 are too nice to EDC

I just wanna look at them all day

After you figure out your blade profile, the Endura is pretty much everything you need, and nothing you don't.
I recently had a conversation with a fellow edged tool/weapon enthusiast from work about what knives you truly really need in just one lifetime. My list was brought down to Fällkniven A1, Bark River Golok, Spyderco Endura 4, Victorinox Huntsman & Morakniv Companion HD. His was similar aside from the Golok which he opted for the Kabar Parangatang, 940 Osborne, A Leatherman multi tool & we both agreed on the A1.

For a pocket knife it really doesn't matter as long it comes from a reputable brand, but when it comes to survival knives & machetes etc. the price is usually on par with the quality of the item you purchased.

You could honestly replace my Golok with a Tramontina machete and you could get the same result in terms of usefulness but my Golok has held a edge and I never questioned it ever giving out or failing me when it came to actual survival.

You're right though, once you have figured out what fits your needs and the type
of work you will be doing with your knife then you truly only need a few knives throughout your life.

I do love knives. I haven’t really collected them. But idk want a nice pocket knife. I have a decent lock blade a friend gave me.
Now is the probably the best time to purchase one, there are so many knife companies now that they have a knife every individuals preference. The only problem I have with knives mainly pocket knives is the pricing, you still have S30v which is a premium steel but obsolete in these modern times compared to Magnacut,20Cv,S90 etc but still are being used and comparable to the prices of said newer higher Rockwell Hardness knives. In the end you really have to do your research when it comes to knives nowadays & getting a actual reviews with long term usage of said knives are best.

I’m not going to be using any of them for much. I just like the look of them. I carry my lock black on me to walk my dog. It’s functional. But that is really the only time I would actually need to use it. Other than that, I just collect them form time to time. Although I don’t know shot about them and have lost most or had them stolen.

just budget EDCs for now. RIP me the day i finally decide to take the plunge on my first higher end knife because i know there’ll be no looking back from there
