Not sure about that.

I would definitely keep skilled workers and academics flowing through, though I'd happily stop foreign investors buying up land/housing.

Family visas and marital arrangements is going to be hard to stop, and I'm not sure that's right either, but we should now have more say on Europeans and non-Europeans coming over and since we already seem to have born the brunt of stopping low level workers (ie, seasonal work) after Brexit, we should focus on getting to grips with our borders even if we don't close them entirely against absolutely everyone.

The top 5 countries for UK migration are: Ireland, India, Pakistan, Romania and Poland.

Only one of those countries is majority Muslim, and immigration from Pakistan has been happening since the 50's.

Well like I say I'm for stopping immigration at the moment unless it's for a critical role we have a shortage in. Nothing against anyone but services and housing etc are stretched pretty thin right now.

I think it's a very good time in this political climate to block purposeless immigration. If the reason for coming to the UK is "hope", it should be a no.

Agreed, if there's any point to Brexit then we should at least be using what it was supposed to be for.

There's loads of shit we need to fix with public services in this country and not overloading them is key to doing it and making them more efficient.

Yeah, big cities have higher crime rates. Big cities with higher crime rates almost always have greater poverty that has been preexisting.

Minorities are generally poorer.

Places like Blackpool and Redcar are both very deprived, and very 'white'. Both have very high crime rates.

Poverty and ethnicity are both tied at the hip, but poverty is a serious driver of crime, more than melatonin or holy books, and poverty will bring about crime more reliably than demographics.

I don't believe that poor people from different ethnicities are equally likely to commit crime.

And even if, it would still be a reason not to bring in any more poor immigrants.
