Knee Cut defense...

    Can anyone point me to a good place to find resources on defending the knee cut, once the opponent has already gotten their knee on the ground?

    Throw your opposite leg over to block.

    With your leg pinned down by his? and his other arm usually on your lapel holding you down?

    yes. start hipping out and coming up to your knees.

    a long time ago there was a thread about counters to this pass... or a youtube video. can't remember.

    he means shin across the hip, and pu7sh him a way. yes,it can be countered, so you must be quicker

    Yea you definitely don't want to keep your leg there, but it does work.

    Once the knee hits the ground, you are kinda screwed. You're more in side control escape mode at that point. Personally, I fight for the underhook and get up on my elbow -- if he can't get the underhook or pull up on your near arm, he really can't finish the pass.
