You got to understand the context of this. Takeru lives for that kind of shit. He post videos all the time on instagram of him savagely beating training partners. This is just what happens when high level, hyper competitive guys go at it.

I think you can clearly tell by the body language Takeru he was not expecting that shot and wasn’t really sure what to do afterwards... he kind of awkwardly stands there and tries to laugh it off... while Dillashaw storms off looking like a spoiled brat.. This wasn’t too high level fighters getting into it/turning it up a few notches and trying to take each other’s heads off for a round...

Dillashaw was clearly irritated or frustrated about something and was being a dick... Then stormed away so Takeru couldn’t tell him he was being a dick. And I’m sure if he tried to later, Dillashaw would turn it around and make try to make him feel stupid for saying something - Classic narcissistic behavior.. I’m betting people are on “egg shells” around him.. at the gym, around family..

to be fair but he isn't praising her at all, he said that they broke it up. At no point did he praise her in the article you linked.

Faber, while he plays the game, actively encourages his gym to beat the shit out of each other.

He is still butthurt about TJ leaving so he makes out like TJ was the only one at the gym going hard at practice, but Faber has in the past owned up to WANTING all his guys sparring at 100% and losing their cool and hitting each other hard.

PVZ for example. She beat the shit out of a teenage boy in the TAM gym on her first day when she lost her temper, knees to the head, knocking him silly, stomps, etc and that's when Faber went "OMG we really like you and want you to formally join our Gym. This is the kind of attitude and drive we want in our fighters and you will fit right in."

All of them are douches. That is how they train at that gym and that is how they promote training. Ask anyone who has ever attended their gym and they will say "they all did that stuff, not just TJ"

He was dropped with a head kick in one exchange and then kod in another. Not saying he'll lose again but he didn't simply get caught. Tj set up everything in round 2 beautifully. Though obviously Cody took the first
