He was well off until like 15-16 when he ran away and made himself poor. He was, however, self-made. He DJd basement parties and produced his own music. He got signed to Jive records at like 16 years old and came out with a decent album at 17. If there is any talent in hip-hop whatsoever, him actually playing instruments aside, then Kid Rock had talent. He made 'Devil without a cause' in his small house for like no money. Polyfuse is a better album than you find coming out these days. Fact.

LOL at anyone actually enjoying Kid Rock's music. The album in my avatar is 100x better.
