Khamzat

WME wants boring fighters, hence Khamzat has been blacklisted. Worst kept secret in MMA.

I see the forum is finally having the meltdown I had about a month ago. Every time I sign in here there's a new wtf is up with Khamzat thread...was asking the same myself. I just think not knowing what is going on is so confusing.

I've never seen anything like this from the UFC. Unlike most who bash Dana (understandably so) I really don't think this is the UFC shelfing him or anything like that. I feel like the secrecy of it all makes me really concerned like he will not fight again.

I am concerned the dictator has talked to Khamzat and asked him not to fight outside of Abu Dabi again or something like this. If I remember correctly a few months ago Kadyrov made some anti UFC comments and said Cechnyan fighters don't get treated well in America but wasnt talking about Khamzat.

Could it be something else? Absolutely but what? I do think the weight division change is a gigantic issue. He went from basically being Khabib fighting guys that he is much bigger than to fighting guys his size soon. This will be difficult for him so I wonder if its just that simple and he's not ready for middleweight yet or maybe not really interested in MW.

I really am unsure and Dana and Khamzat staying quiet for this long is truly bizarre.

he fucked up an entire ppv and showed no remorse for his actions and because of that
the ufc dont trust him anymore.
you have to be extra careful dealing with a man baby like Khamzat

I thought this too, but it was back in Sept. Seems like a fight at 185 would be a safe bet.

remember he has retired once before because he got covid

maybe it is self sabotage, maybe he would rather do other thigns then fighting.

I agree, it is bizarre. Can't seem to get a straight scoop on the real reason he does not have a fight scheduled.

At what weight? Dana has made it clear he does not like catch-weight fights.
I assume they're angling for 185

Khamzat easily makes 170 in Abu Dhabi though. Those guys just lie about weight over there

Getting top fighters to agree to terms to fight each other isn't easy. Many guys probably said no, others maybe wanted things in negotiation that the UFC wasn't willing to do, maybe they had problems lining up a date and venue. There's a multitude of reasons why.

He did disappoint a little.... He came out and seemed like he genuinely was different than most of the fighters from this region, wanting to fight anyone at any weight without any precautionary measures but this unfortunately changed very fast....

Yes! A Khamzat thread!
