Media Khamzat wrestling DC!

That would be a poor choice for Khamzat. Everyone at AKA except Khabib is retired or on their way out. I don't think it's the place to go if you want to become a top fighter.

But Luke Cockhold is there. He so pretty.

Weight doesn't do anything? It makes you harder to move, to lift, it lets you put more pressure from a top position, when pushing someone against the cage, you can put it behind your punches, etc. It definitely does "something."
Gives you energy too, like a camel :)

Fit fighters have 100% cardio first two rounds and then drop to 10%.

Fat fighters have 100% for half a round, but then fight at sustained 50% for the rest of the fight :)

While that is true it also adds non functional weight that can contribute to accelerated fatigue.

go for a run with 10 kg strapped to you and you will fatigue faster then without it.

Generally speaking being leaner (not shredded) is optimal.

Fighters like DC and fedor are outliers that seem to carry the extra weight very well.

That is credit to them but they are the exception to the rule.

Most fighters would be worse with 20-30 lbs of added fat then without it.

If DC got to 10% body fat, he could probably fight at WW.
He's a food addict. He'd rather eat himself into obesity and fight at a disadvantage, than stop eating shit and lose some fat. Realistically, DC could've been a 3 weight champ.
DC would lose all his power and speed advantage at lower weight classes. He'd just be another wrestle boxer with nothing special about him.

Anybody watching that who knows wrestling understand there's a giant skill gap between that exchange

If DC cut weight and started sweating this is what would come out.

I highly doubt that. DC is built like a tank. And even if it were true, that's hardly the division where he'd feel at his best so why even bother.
Dc could get a heavy liposuction session tbh, he'd be a ripped 6% bf lighter fighter, sexy dc

GOAT STOCKY POWER 420 666 FTW

if they were on mats that osoto would've planted khamzat through the ground

Nah khamzat got the muscle density of a lion, unusually strong for his size.

Nonsense. Fat doesn't weigh as much as muscle and bone density. Like it was stated DC is built like a tank. Even at his most cut he barely made LHW, and if he lost so much muscle to go down to MW he would be nowhere near the same fighter he'd be a weakling. See TJ @ 125.

he is at least 50 lbs lighter than dc dont be stupid
I know yet he took it easy on dc damn, isnt he fucking awesome ?

definitely olympic gold medal level wrestler tbh

Because extra fat doesn't do anything in fighting unless you turn it into muscle mass.

Even if you don't turn it into muscle mass, just simply getting rid of it is healthier for the fighter. More room for better cardio
Soo all the world's strongest men are doing it wrong? It's been proven some fat helps retain their muscle mass and helps with cardio

...And if you lower your body fat by getting rid of extra weight, you can compete in lower weight classes so that makes up for being harder to lift since you are fighting people smaller too

I didn’t say weight by the way, we were talking about body fat
