Only guy exposed last night was Peter yan

Exposed is a big word, he was controlling Sterling with grappling in round 4 and 5 even though Sterling is above in grappling skills.

He just needs to work harder on his BJJ though and not giving his back that easily.

yes, I already knew he would be no match or colby or usman but I didn't realize how wrong I was. He doesn't even belong in the cage with either of them, that is how far behind he is.

Before Burns fight I had:

Islam %30 v Khamzat %70 - 170 lbs

Colby %40 v Khamzat %60 - 170 lbs

Usman %50 v Khamzat %50 - 170 lbs

Adesanya %40 v Khamzat %60 - 185 lbs

After Burns fight:

Islam %40 v Khamzat %60 - 170 lbs

Colby %50 v Khamzat %50 - 170 lbs

Usman %60 v Khamzat %40 - 170 lbs

Adesanya %50 v Khamzat %50 - 185 lbs
Your biggest % shift is 10%....it clearly didn't change your view much.

Yeah bro.

I'm totally butt hurt that you said you think the most dominant grappler in MMA history is boring.

Maybe you should watch Kickboxing.

He he, you seem to be a good sport and my inflammatory troll ramblings about the Dags didn’t even phase you, I’d had success in the past with tweaking the more emotional and invested Khabib fans. Considering I’m a long time Tony Ferguson fan, in days past before he fell off the cliff, I’d poke and prod for a good reaction, but you bested me Sherbro

Had it 2-1 Khamzat. This fight was freaking amazing, people know how good Burns is and Khamzat just beat him.

Khamzat is truly a freaking savage just went in there and went after Burns. This will only make him be better.

Colby next.

Your avatar gif sequence of leg kicks is merciless

Chimaev got dropped by Burns. I don't think we need to discuss Izzy yet.

I think he should stay at 170. Izzy, Vettori and Costa give him big trouble. Whittaker is a nightmare matchup for him.

I'm looking forward to Khamzat vs. Colby I'm curious how he deals with the pressure and cardio.

You forgot about Shavkat. I used to favor Khamzat to beat him, but now I'd take Shavkat over Khamzat 60%/40%.

I'd still favor him over Colby though. Stylically, Colby is an easier fight for him. No submission threat so he won't hesitate to GnP like he did with Burns and no KO threat on the feet either.

Why are people so dismissive of Colby's wrestling?

Very close fight, Burns landed more strikes but it was close.. I think a draw would be fair. they should do a rematch.. a rematch next will be fun

His inactivity in round 3, his comments about just wanting to win a title and retire, and the fact that he already nearly quit MMA, plus the hellish weightcut to 170 for him--he will never be a champ at 170 while Usman is there. And I don't think he's anywhere near to having the qualities to beat Adesanya either. He ended up being more like Sean O'Malley than I ever believed, but I'm happy I wasn't on the hype train.

I think jumping from low level fighters to the number 2 ranked fighter was a huge risk to take and I'm not sure if it paid off. He's now in title contention, but his win was a close thing that could have gone either way and he took some damage that i don't think he would have taken if he was more seasoned. I think he needs the growth he would have gotten from climbing the ladder in a more orthodox way.

However, I still like watching him, I just don't think he's going to have any more of those magical Khamzat victories where he wins without any strikes being thrown.

idk, khamzat has a granite chin and usman's biggest strengths are raw power and wrestling.

khamzat might be stronger (MIGHT)
khamzat might have better wrestling (MIGHT)

i honestly don't know who would win that fight.

Usman struggled with Burns just as much as Khamzat did.
Also, in the grappling exchanges, Burns didn't do nearly as well as people thought he would.
No he didn't. Usman didn't take anywhere near as much damage as Chimaev did, and he finished Burns decisively.

Weird that you're harping on his inactivity given he won the 3rd round after facing adversity for the first time during the 2nd round. Seems the definition of showing heart if anything. I never thought he'd beat the elite MWs and the double champ stuff was pure hype but he showed he's up there at WW tonight and won't be an easy out for anybody.
