LOL since when has colby become Khabib? guy only fights 40 year past it fighters and khamzat isnt that so wouldnt even happen and he has bitch pillows for hands and wouldnt get to lay and pray like he did for masvidal, maybe he can call the cops for backup??
All you said is irrelevant. By the looks of this fight, Khamzat will die on the stool if he has to fight for more than 3 rounds. Colby has some of the best cardio in his division. That alone would be good enough to win him the fight.

Very rare that someone's stock drops after a great fight with the 3rd guy in the division, but with those ridiculous odds, Khamzat's stock dropped. People had him winning both WW and MW belts already, but he took some real damage and looked beatable.
And there's nothing wrong with that. His confidence is great, he's a fun fighter. But his human side showed and his fans can't handle it.

Khamzat knows he's got work to do. If he's champ material, he'll make the right adjustments and improve.

But right now he loses to Colby and gets smothered and probably stopped by Kamaru.

I thought usman clearly beat Colby last fight

Wasn't clearly, Usman won 3 rounds to 2, and the 3rd round was very close. It could've gone to Colby but I think the judges got it right. Close rounds usually go to the champ.

I disagree as did all 3 judges and 2/3rds of Sherdog.

Lol Burns had Khamzat stumbling in the 3rd, landed more sig. Strikes in the 3rd. Landed more strikes in the 3rd. In a round that was 100% stand up.

I could see the round being a 10-10, cuz the numbers are close, and feel that fight should've been a draw.

But a 10-9 round 3 for Khamzat, is based purely on Fandom and nothing else.

Burns little rabbit punches at the end of the third didn't impress. I thought the 3rd was a narrow win for Khamzat who walked him down the full round, Burns looked much worse in terms of sustained damage and really only got Khamzat's attention at two specific points.

You're basing the look off the cut he sustained in the 1st that opened up.

He didn't walk him down, he walked into punches repeatedly that had him stumbling.

Round 3 should've been a draw, the fight should've been a draw.

Round 1 Khamzat
Round 2 Burns
Round 3 draw, neither fighter stood out, and the numbers are pretty similar, Burns did land the bigger shots, but Khamzat was the aggressor.

I dont think they should rush to those fights. He needs more seasoning.
Unfortunately Dana wants a Colby vs. Khamzat fight next.

But I wholeheartedly agree that they need to take it a bit slower. Khamzat certainly has the tools but right now he loses to Colby and likely gets removed from the Octagon by Kamaru.

I like Khamzat. But he needs some work done first.

Burns certainly did more damage but there wasn’t a second in that fight where Khamzat was backing away, Gilbert was forced into the cage nearly half of that fight while Khamzat was marching forward even while getting hit in the face by Gilbert’s winging hooks multiple times. That was an intense fight. Khamzat has holes we now know of, and just got beat up by a lightweight who was KO’d by a former and now current Featherweight who’s on a losing streak. Either Khamzat learned something about himself and will work to fill the holes in his game in while never underestimating someone due to size, or he’s done and just not elite. He pushed through though, but that size advantage should have helped him a lot more and it looks even worse that it didn’t. His standup isn’t good, and I think Burns BJJ was actually intimidating and that forced him to stand up.

Colby is probably an easier fight for Chimaev. The Jui jitsu threw him off in this fight thats why he couldnt wrestle as much as he wanted to. Hes a better wrestler then Colby and Colby hasnt got the striking power that Burns has.

Correct

That's how i see it too. We may be wrong but chances are that we aren't

Khamzat earned his contenership at WW, but DEFINITELY should give up on calling out Israel at MW

Completely different styles though. I don't for a second think Khamzat is a Khabib or anywhere near it but when did Khabib fight a guy as good on the ground as Gilbert? To where he'd have to stand with a dude with BIG power?? Never mind in his 10th fight. This was a HUGE jump

I seem to remember Khabib handling prime RDA, a high level BJJ fighter, with ease. He also never got rocked by Conor, Justin, MJ, or Dustin.

But I do agree this was a huge jump for Khamzat and I think the UFC learned a lesson by pushing yet another prospect too quickly. A side benefit of the UFC not pushing Khabib was that he gained experience and honed his skills before he fought the best.

Will watch again but if he was running more into punches then what I noticed then I agree. Also in the post fight interview Khamzat looked more damaged than Gilbert which surprised me. His face looked much worse.

The hype train needed a corrupt decision to beat glass jaw lightweight burns lol. If he tries to fight Colby or Usman he is going to get wrecked

Let me know, I could also be wrong.

Burns literally was only standing in the 3rd because of the cage. Khamzat was never hurt. It was a UD. You're in the minority look at the poll clown

Khazmat needs some more experience. Fights to emotionally. Terrible at following game plan. He can be champ but he needs more work.

Stuffed, Cut up, stumbled repeatedly and dropped twice by a former LW with average striking

29-0 unscratched, never dropped now and forever. Khabib just has way better fight iq, grappling, cardio and boxing defence.

Fought way better strikers than Burns and never got touched.

Former LW, Gilbert "Dan Hookers Victim" Burns nearly beat MW Khamzat tonight... some may argue he did.

Still rooting for Khamzat in his next fight even though he's clearly not the next Khabib. Still a very entertaining fighter.
