If the first round is a 10-8 because of 1 knockdown then the 2nd should be a 10-8 for Burns for almost killing Khamzat standing up. Dude's got a chin though
The knockdown followed by heavy ground n pound so that should be a 10-8. Khamzat clearly lost the 2nd though.

khamzat underestimated the top fighters he was delusional about usman and burns, still he won the fight and thats insane for a guy who has 4 fights in the ufc. The mystique and his aura as the unbeatable monster is gone. he is beatable.

Khamzat 1 and 3, that's reality.

Khamzat was in more trouble at one point, and Burns had the best single round of the fight. But Khamzat won one and three. He's no Khabib 2.0 though. I think Khamzat would have won the fight easily if he had used his wrestling.

Neither fighter lost anything tonight. I think both fighters stock just went up. Was a good fight.

I'm just glad he won, he's lucky he did. He was too reckless. You could hear the desperation in his corner: "Don't brawl with him!", "straight punches!". Hopefully can learn a lot from this fight.

Funny how we went from
"Chimaev should be -1500, Burns is an old and washed up LW, Chimaev is also gonna kill Kamaru "bad knees" Usman and Izzy "no wrestling" Adesanya" to "Lol you morons, Chimaev just beat the number 2 ranked, who is a freaking beast, the hype train still goes" when this fight was a super close decision win AT BEST.

I said this before. Khabib is levels above. Khabib fight IQ is next level he would never be in a brawl. While Khazmat is talanted with brute strength, great wrestling. Khabib is a much more complete grappler and wrestler. Khabib has 100 ways to take you down. Khabib would have taken burns tied him up while smeshing his face. Khabib is grandmaster level in Jiu jitsu while having unbelievable wrestling mix judo.

If by out on his feet, you mean gassed and covering up, then yes. He then went on to continuosly land the cleaner and harder strikes, even while khamzat was walking forward. It was a close fight. I'm fine with people thinking khamzat won, but burns definitely has an argument for winning that fight.

Most were blocked and had zero impact. Only one fighter was hurt and using the fence to stand up in the 3rd and that was Burns.

He's a title contender now, no doubt about it.

But I think it's reasonable to pump the brakes a bit on some of the more over-the-top hype narratives surrounding him. It was a great fight! Lots was learned.

I can't stress how much everyone should give Burns props. Losing like a warrior is so underrated. Undersized. Walked into the fire. Bad motherfucker.

Considering how hyped we had him

Usman did better against better

Fuck it hooker did better

He is

So you admit Burns won then
No I don't, that first minute and half was to decisive. I wish he did though. And I do think Khamzat's allure has been broken and I'll bet Colby against him (probably get even money too).

It’s like Burns just gave up to start Round 3. He wasn’t even swinging then mid round he’s like okay let me fight again

Did you not notice the insane pace of the fight? Burns did well to only fade briefly in round 3
