Well, I have always assumed that the majority of the physical audience are casual casuals. You know, drunk bro-groups in town for the weekend, monster truck fans and bullshido dads and their obese sons. Now when I think about they are the non orthodox, shallow believers of the Just Bleed God, as opposed to us; the JBG inquisition, experts on the lore and scripture.
But a true acolyte of the JBG must also be able to reach the spirits of the common run of men.

He had a bad weight cut, fought during Ramadan. Burns is just tough as shit, he almost knocked out Usman

Next time won't be his first

It'll be his first main event and 5 rounder lol. He's getting dusted either way if he fights colby or usman next lmao. Dana better save his hype train and have him fight somebody else till they retire lmao.

Anxiety? I don't think he looked anxious at all. His performance was effected by Gilbert being better than people thought.
That was also a factor. He can't see anxiety, all those big swings, exchanges he could have been clinching up and not breathing properly. He has a lot of pressure on him going into that fight and He pulled it off

Had Burns not run out of gas I think he finishes Khaz in that 3rd rd . Khaz stand up is average ... hechas good power but many holes in his gsme. This fight showed he's not the force folks thought at least not yet. He's lucky Burns doesn't have good cardio or he goes to sleep in 3rd.

Khaz needed to be humbled saying he's bigger than the champ when he never fought anyone . He just fought someone of note n barely won . Will this just kill his confidence or make him better ? I agree he should go train with Kabib to max his skills he's not a great stand up fighter but could be an elite grappler with his size.

Yeah, impossible for them to address the issues of this fight. Fate is sealed, anyone that has a close fight should hang them up.

His inactivity in round 3, his comments about just wanting to win a title and retire, and the fact that he already nearly quit MMA, plus the hellish weightcut to 170 for him--he will never be a champ at 170 while Usman is there. And I don't think he's anywhere near to having the qualities to beat Adesanya either. He ended up being more like Sean O'Malley than I ever believed, but I'm happy I wasn't on the hype train.

And here we have a straight up hate thread

A dozen of those shots from burns would've knocked out a fuckin horse

I had picked khamzat to win, wanted him to win, but I wouldn't have been surprised if burns got the decision.
Khamzat managed to eek it out somehow.

Ya fuckin morons need to actually pay attention to the fight and the shots that land

Won't be addressed with in 2 fights no. Lol can't have shit cardio 1 fight then Diaz cardio the next. Normally fighters with good cardio have it already. Cardio can't be learned. Look at aljo. Still gasses after 3 rounds.

you said it yourself. it was some grade A eke-ing going on. Not the hype shit that entitled him to fight Burns in the first place.

Why are people so dismissive of Colby's wrestling?

Colby's wrestling is good but overrated. He got taken down multiple times by LW RDA and was badly outwrestled by Usman (1/11, officially 0/11 on TD attempts).

He won't be able to wet blanket somebody like Chimaev who is far bigger and stronger than most of Colby's opponents.

Posts like this is what keeps the fighters away from this fuckin swamp.

Khamzat showed more heart in this fight than some fighters show in their entire careers, and yet the peanut gallery has only negative shit to say.

He faced the most adversity of his whole career in the second round.
He comes out in the 3rd and throws more punches than he did in the first and second.

That equals no heart here...shows he's a quitter in Sherdoggers eyes....smfh.

Im pretty convinced that some of you have no idea wtf you're watching.

yawn.

this site is a dumpster full of dogshit the day after events lmao.

khamzat couldve won by submission and people would say its cause he was scared to stand, could win by knockout and it was cause he was scared of gilberts ground game.

No, Khamzat rightfully deserves people jumping off of that ridiculous hype train of his after spending weeks of “gonna kill this guy”, “take his head”, “these guys not on my level” and all the other bs. Khamzat talked himself up to more than he was and a lot of people swallowed it. Reality caught up and showed that although he is good, he is not as good as he and many others though.

Chimaev has a good chin and power, but he's technically a bit sloppy and can definitely improve his striking defense. What we've seen from him thus far is domination in his strength. When unable to do that we'll see a fight similar to last night where he can be exploited. Of course there is room for improvement and rounding out his skills to become an even better fighter.

There will be a big bump in the skills of his competitors going forward. Assuming he would dominate them in the same way is and has been unlikely. Good performance regardless making such a big jump in competition. The outcome was realistic, but also impressive given the adversity he faced and hasn't in past fights.

it bothers me that he now has less fans tbh
Are you new to sports or something? I’ve been to football, and hockey games in our stadium, and arena where the home team got booed for stinking up the joint. But guess what?? The crowd was back for the very next game and still in love with their team. I think you’re reading way too much into this.

He almost KOd Burns with a fuckin jab for fuck sake.
Rose up through the adversity and won the fight... Sherdog...he sucks...pfft.

Weird that you're harping on his inactivity given he won the 3rd round after facing adversity for the first time during the 2nd round. Seems the definition of showing heart if anything. I never thought he'd beat the elite MWs and the double champ stuff was pure hype but he showed he's up there at WW tonight and won't be an easy out for anybody.
Yeah the OP is just acting like a little edge lord. Saying he showed no heart is bait. Shut up TS

He ran out of steam big time on rd3 which is a risk going into title fights, but it was his first real challenge against a tough guy who was giving him he'll, and he came out still pushing the pace and won the fight. Can't say how that doesn't show heart

Insecure basement dwellers wanted to see Khamzat fail so badly that anything less than leaving with Burns in a pool of blood means Usman would rip his head off. Hope all of you eventually find happiness in life.
