I don't understand why this is such an issue.

If the dude can't fight nor train during Ramadan then the solution is simple. Fight right before Ramadan begins.

He can always try to schedule a fight for the January or early February event, then he can rest his body during Ramadan.

If he did this, he could easily fight just as frequently as any other champion.

The fact that he doesn't do this shows his lack of desire to fight.

Honestly I think Khamzat is mentally weak and terrified of losing. He was on a roll for a while there and probably felt unbeatable. But then the Burns fight gave him a scare.

After he got a scare and didn't dominate the Burns fight the way he thought he would, he started showing his behaviours of being afraid of losing. Taking longer between fights. Overtraining. Coming in with too much weight that he couldn't successfully cut. Dude is terrified of losing. That's why he took no risks against DDP. Because he'd rather maintain position and win a decision, than go for a finish and burn himself out.

Now Khamzat pulls out of a fight if he has any injury or illness during training camp. If he can't be 100%, he pulls out. If every fighter did that, like 75% of fights that get scheduled would end up cancelled. Khamzat shouldn't be allowed to do it.

So I commended him for getting the title and not being stupid but this is a bad deal for all involved. He is getting money from other things which is fine but its weird if he just does not fight. Ilia is doing the same shit and I am surprised the UFC has no rules in place to stop this. Abu is the new fight capital of the world and he is now champ/celebrity living in the area so it might be out of his hands. TDF, DDP is not making any noise to get back in the cage and neither is Ilia.

Those facts seem to suggest UFC didn't inquire, negotiate, or indeed even consider the idea.

Now, logically, what actually makes sense considering the information we now have on the table?
A) That UFC had no interest in him fighting on that card, as the known facts suggests
B) Your weird notion that he asked to fight in his adopted country but didn't actually want to, which has no known basis in reality
