Media Khamzat has no aura left.... Kamaru: You build him up, then you go in there and you go 'that guy wasn't special'

He’s good, but honestly not as good as people hype him up to be.

Those two fights give you a good idea of exactly where he’s at, just slightly ahead of a peak Gilbert Burns, and notch above a washed up Marty.

That’s still very good, maybe even enough to get him a title, but maybe not. The two division smash everyone is just nonsense though, he will struggle with a lot of of the top guys in both divisions, judging by those two fights..

Strikes landed for Khamzat

Burns fight:
R1: 27 of 54
R2: 37 of 75
R3: 44 of 94

Usman fight:
R1: 16 of 17
R2: 9 of 20
R3: 13 of 33

Literally lands/attempts double/triple the amount of strikes per round against Burns, and he's actually taking damage in that fight and can't control him on the ground, which makes the fight harder for him.

Khazmat taking a complete different opponent change on such short notice hurt him just as much

Preparing for someone like Usman is very specific

you know it's gonna be a grind.

Where as with Costa, the same emphasis isn't there In regards to cardio.

He still beat him, took him down In every round, even while tired, but I think, had he prepared specifically for Usman, knowing that dude is gonna make you work for every little inch..I think it would've looked a lot more one sided than it did.

He's better In the striking, proved he's better In the wrestling and grappling, only thing that seemed to prevent that from being shown is his mismanagement of energy.

No matter what, a short notice opponent change, especially fighting a former world champion, all time great WW.. It's significant. Just as it was for Usman. People seem pretty invested In making every one of Khazmat's fights look as bad as possible / discount his ability and potential though.

I doubt most will really give him the credit he deserves until he's champ.

MMA judges are corrupt and shit and ever using them as an reference shows how low iq and how big of a filthy casual you is be. 1st round was 10-9, then 2 and 3 were all Usman. Had it been a 5 round fight, Usman knocks his crotch sniffing bum ass out. Talks all the shit in the world how he fight anyone anywhere, yet doesn't fight anyone anywhere. In fact, he mostly likes to crotch sniff, sometimes somewhere.

He’s finished all by 2 opponents and he broke his hand whipping usman in the first round.

Man, some of you guys are mind broken by grappling, calling anyone that grapples a crotch sniffer or a panic wrestler. I don’t understand the mindset. Khamzat hurts people and has put most people that he’s fought away, but he’s a “crotch sniffer” because you don’t understand that you can just choose to watch kickboxing.

Yeah, Matt Hughes was a 2 time div 1 all american wrestler, so he was pretty good, but Koscheck was exceptional, 4 time all american, 1 time champion and the years he didn't win he placed 2nd, 3rd and 4th. Fitch as you said, wasn't really an accomplished he amateur wrestler, he wrestled div 1 but still, was not very successful, but got outwrestled against GSP.

But man Koscheck, with his wrestling pedigree could have been one of the best welterweights of all time, just became very one dimensional when he fell in love with his striking, if he would have developed his grappling along with his hands, he would have been so much more dangerous.
 
Its gotta weigh heavy on his mind that he(khamzat) isnt as good as he thought. Too bad we never got the Paulo costa fight. That would have been a real test.

Khamzat sent Usman to the Woodley Zone. Next up will a rap video, a line of sneakers and more legendary excuses.
 
I just want to see him fight again. Will he? He smashed usman in that first round 10-8 I thought. (Also many prominent posters here voted they were impressed by his performance in a poll. )he gassed after that. If he can work on his cardio he'd be near unstoppable.
 
Still Kamaru got manhandled until Khamzat gassed. EPO Khamzat would maul the CEO of EPO.
 
If his aura was that he was going to fight on every other card and retire without ever getting hit, then yes that aura is dead

Not really. Only exciting fight was against burns. Crotched sniffed Jingling and Holland. Tried to crotch sniff Usman, well did for 1 round and then got pieced up. Actually should have been 2-1 Usman. And rd 1 wasn't 10-8. I don't tweet like a beta either, but thats all you see of him nowadays. All talk and no bite, just crotch sniff.
