Khamzat Chimaev is the most skilled fighter imho since prime Jon Jones (from Purely skills POV)

It has kicks and knees when there is no takedown threat
It doesn't typically. Khabib and Khamzat have a forward weight style to be able to shoot for legs efficiently. This style blends well with punches and poorly with kicks.

Islam is not that typical of the Caucasian style in that he shoots for legs less, kicks more (he has flexible hips), has a very MT influenced clinching system and has a much bigger judo influence in his overall style. In fact I would even say that Islam's clinch game is the best blend of MT and judo we have ever seen.

his fighting for the Welterweight title in July-August max and if Usman was to get injured in this March
You think he can make weight this time around?
But if he is fighting for the title it should be a clinch (except for weight cut shenanigans) since there's no surprise head kicks coming from Edwards this time.

he could run thru Edwards with just 1 takedown

Khazmat is good but he isn't as good as a Prime Jon who was making light work of world champions and world beaters. I have no idea how anyone could think Khaz is in the same realm as that Jon Jones..cheater or not.

Khamzat is good, but he was made to look very mortal in his last fight. He's not even the best in the UFC right now.
What? The fight where he absolutely ragdolled and submitted a middleweight BJJ black belt in a little over 2 minutes?
