Khamzat Chimaev is the most skilled fighter imho since prime Jon Jones (from Purely skills POV)

Makhachev is very extremely elite no doubt about that but His not a better wrestler then Khamzat nor a better athlete. Khamzat would finish all of Islam's opponents inside 1st round including his latest (Within inside first 1 min or 2nd min).. His finishing instinct is much higher his like a cat once he grabs something and drags it to the ground it won't come up again alive
"He's finishing instinct is much higher, like a cat. Once he grabs something and drags it to the ground it won't come up again."
Gilbert must've been covered in 'anti-cat spray'. When Khamzat took him down, he popped right back up. When Gilbert was on the ground, Khamzat didn't want to follow him down there. Khamzat has great wrestling, excellent power and good boxing. He didn't have the grappling to feel confident with Gilbert on the ground. Compare that with Islam who took Charles down, went into his guard and was smashing him the whole first round. Khamzat is very good but I think you're getting carried away.

If his next fight goes to the 2nd round people will start to cry out again... Some will claim he struggled with an opponent because of the fight reaching the 2nd round

Phenomenal fighter overall but missed a big opportunity against Usman when it was displayed that it was possible for a fighter to withstand the grinding from Usman and land a KO blow.

He got banned from WW now so he has to deal with Rob, Cannonier, and possibly Pereira but on the flip side, Chimaev doesnt need to dehydrate as much to make MW.

I think this is similar to the Anthony Johnson situation where his size makes it hard for him to cut down to WW and he'd actually perform better if he didn't dehydrate as much.

Nothing at all like Jones in terms of skill. The dude clearly relies on physicality and pace for the majority of his success, especially with striking.

His technically very sound in my honest opinion and brings few weapons and tricks that others don't bring to the table and much much more lethal then both Khabib and Islam combined.. I do realize that Islam/Khabib are quite effective and elite but Khamzat in my honest opinion is an upgraded version of them as he finds finishes far easier then them

No...
The most skilled fighter since prime Jon Jones is Islam.
He has it all w/ grappling:: wrestling, subs, defense, takedowns, judo, etc...
And his striking is decent. His game-planning / fight IQ is very good.
Khamzat is less technique (although still great here), and more brute power/force/speed. I also think Khamzat's striking + striking defense is less technically sound than Islam's.

Stop with this bullshit of lhw. He has the easiest time making MW and way, way too slim for lhw.

So, he should continue fighting lws and missing weight? By fighting lws, I mean losing to burns and getting a robbery decision.

Thank you.

I think that's a stretch, but he is very good.

What a noob post.

I would expect more from you
Unless I have missed something and please correct me if that's the case but Nickal's credentials are in Flakestyle and he has very limited freestyle experience. The only high caliber international wrestler he faced is Mohammadian who humiliated him. The closest thing to Dagestani/Chechen he ever faced are some Azerbaidjani and some obscure slovak Ossetian.

Yeah except he won that fight.

No he is a very good but he has no great kick game nor have I noticed him being exceptionally good at elbow nor knees. Maybe I can rewatch his few fights crushing cans and rethink lower tier challengers and find some glimmer but nothing cones to mind
Kicks and knees typically don t blend well with the Caucasian style.

If he was an easy fight Colby would've signed a long time ago and we didn't need the Khamzat/Nate booked.

I am excited to see how far he can go :D

his fighting for the Welterweight title in July-August max and if Usman was to get injured in this March

cool bro

you don't know enough about the sport to have an opinion

train some martial arts, stop acting like a 12 year old, obese redditor and then maybe you'll begin to form opinions that can be taken seriously.

ignore that one he is out of reason.. chimaev is lhw according to him
