Then I won't be watching or streaming this fight, if I wanted to watch Kickboxing I would watch glory

Every single MMA fighter formulating a game plan against Pereira:

Lmao. People act like guys should just suddenly morph into prime gsp tho, and that's not how things work. Most of the guys that fought AP tried to hold him down at some point, they just couldn't. And after years and years of watching people complain about LNP, it's funny that we have such a violent champ and so many people are like omg where's big Jon Fitch to save us!

<lol>

He's reassuring casuals that he's gonna "stand and bang" to legitimize a fight that can't be legit rankings wise.

Hey fools.. still making fun of the idea that Mokaev being cut for his style is a bad sign for the sport and main org?

Hey pussy, you still there?
<JonesLaugh>
Mokaev didn’t get cut because of his fighting style

Rountree doesn't have the wrestling to pull off a takedown heavy gameplan.

Mokaev wasn't resigned due to his fighting style bro was a pain to deal with .

He never shot for a takedown in his life, he is considerably smaller than Pereira, and has HORRIBLE ground game. Meanwhile, Jan tried 9 times to take Pereira down, managed to bring him down only 3 times, but pereira got back up on the feet without any problem. Jiri tried to take him down 4 times, only managed to take him down once, but could not do anything to him on the ground, despite beating the living shit of glover every time he was on top of glover, he could not do anything to Pereira.

He will be a fool to even try it. He will only get himself tired and possibly timed with something. It's really not rocket science.

surprised to see so many in here going "derp derp so stupid such big ego derp derp"

It's not what got him to the dance. Guys who aren't used to grappling all the time are likely to tire out trying to out of character doing a bunch of it, and he likely won't be particularly effective if he does get top position. Also might just get caught making a poor take down entry because it's not what he's used to doing. Not to mention Alex has been steadily improving at defending it/getting back up. Khalil's bread and butter is his strikes. He's put down a Glory level kick boxer before. And Alex has been stopped before. Khalil has the perfect explosive type of striking to catch people by surprise. I still heavily favor alex. But I agree he should stand. His game is heavily favored towards his strikes. Maybe feint some shots here and there to get a bit of guessing going on for alex. But not full tilt grappling strat.

Well its smart and honest. I know people are thinking you have to grapple with Alex, but Roundtree is not that guy at all, thats his biggest weakness and flaw, like he said he has never tried a takedown and we've seen him taken to the ground and he struggles and panics easily.
